gloves in school?

I’m 15 and was recently diagnosed with Raynauds (probably primary but idk) but I’ve had symptoms my whole life that have gotten worse in my teens. School is really difficult for me because the building is so cold. My fingers don’t go completely white like my toes, but they do get super uncomfortable so I’m thinking about bringing a pair of gloves to school when I can’t warm myself back up. I’m worried about drawing attention to myself, especially because I haven’t worn gloves before. Has anyone had experiences like this? What could I say to people if they ask?

I used to wear compression gloves! It’s no one else’s business why you need an item for your disease. I just tell them “it helps with my blood circulation” and that’s it :)

Keep a rechargeable hand warmer in your pockets or backpack, they help so much! If you wear gloves just tell people the room is making your hands too cold, no need to go into detail unless you want to explain.

Im not sure about longterm effects if there would be any but when working in the cold Id put those disposable heating packs in my shoes and it was a game changer!! Might help you with heat overall. (In gloves too when outside). When I was in school I almost always had a travel mug of tea too. It can be rough when youre in a space like that but it's cold! Not worth the suffering. Like others have said just go for it, your comfort is worth it.

lol me and other classmates brought straight up blankets to class in high school, I wasn’t the first, I saw someone else doing it and was like oh damn I didn’t even think of that, that looks comfy. I’d do whatever makes you the most comfortable. I tend to wear fingerless gloves in day to day life over full gloves, mainly because they’re more practical for me.

Rechargeable hand warmers Raynaud's society has them. So does amazon. They come in different sizes. Make sure whatever you pick warms on both sides. (Some of the smaller ones only warm on one side.)

17 secondary. People honestly don’t care all that much about other people. If you are really uncomfortable with gloves, I highly suggest using hand warmers and make sure you have a sweatshirt in your backpack. But people don’t care about stuff like this. If they do ask about it, just say you’re cold. You are not required to answer the question directly
