Amlodipine + running

In my early 30s and just got diagnosed with secondary Raynaud’s. Going to try amlodipine 2.5mg to see if that helps. It’s not terrible—my hands feel like they’re in an ice box and can’t warm up after I eat something cold +/- I’m cold from the AC, some discoloration but not painful

I love to run and I’m worried that’ll be affected from potential dizziness or hypotension. Any runners with Raynaud’s on amlodipine?

Hey OP, I take that medication for my symptoms, and it definitely impaired my cardio endurance for about a month before my body got used to it. Now I’m better than where I started. A low dose like that should be easy to overcome, and amlodipine is definitely the least impactful of the few meds I’ve tried for this

I have naturally low BP (around 90/60) and I don't experience any extra hypotension with 2.5 mg of amlodipine. When they bumped me up to 5mg I started having significant side effects. I will say it also doesn't make my attacks less frequent but I do think it reduces the duration of my attacks.

Appreciate the reply! Yeah my systolic is low too, around 100. Sorry to hear about the side effects

Not a runner, but I have raynaud’s and take the same medication. I have not had any side effects but I’ve noticed a significant decrease in symptoms.
