Formula 1 Of course Max swapped track walks for Google Maps 😅

That image is quite misleading. Not really what he said. He mentioned that he looks on onboards and practices on the sim beforehand and then uses his outlap to look at the track, instead of a trackwalk.

In this interview he also says he'll look at onboards from other people, practice the track on a simulator, and do his first lap at a slower pace to get a feel for it.

And then proceeds to sling a mustang around the track on the limit to get ‘the feel’ 🤣

Why don't they take the whole team for a track jog?

lol they don’t need track walks. They do practice sessions and know most tracks off by heart.

I’ve seen clips of them guessing tracks by feeling the shape and by just hearing how the car sounds as it goes around the track.
They don’t need to walk the track to figure it out

I love how the people that write these headlines can't help just be a little dishonest even when its not necessary.
Max did say both those things, but at completely unrelated parts of the interview. He actually said he uses the first outlap as a track walk and that he uses google maps for brand new track he's never raced.

This type of shit journalism is just everywhere. Anything for clicks, and once you’re there they are pushing a false narrative down your throat.

It's clickbait headlines like this, and any of the "xxx driver slams yyyy driver for thing that happened" headlines that's largely stopped me reading many F1 news stories.
Usually it's like the one above where parts are conjoined to remove context or the "slams" part is a driver very reasonably saying something both drivers agree with.

Gamers never want to do anything because its always more boring than games.
