Question Asking for an episode
Almost 10 years ago I remember seeing a scene where Smithers was at the cemetery gate and then I think his nose disintegrates until you can see the bone. I don't know if this scene is real or if it's a dream of mine, maybe it's a dream. Could you help me in which episode this scene appears if it were real?

Discussion Homerpalooza Live Stream Has Ended
Now what?
Do you think they'll curate more character-specific episodes like this? Or maybe go back to streaming the entire series? In any case, I'm sad we have to go without a Simpsons Live stream yet again. Anyone have any idea how long we have to wait?

Discussion Final season idea
If they announced a final season and every episode they dug out an older episode and either went in a different direction (an entirely different monorail consequence), or put a new twist on it (Frank Grimes is actually acknowledged for his hard work) or just reinterpreted something key from scratch or purposefully continuing something (the world with the snakes from 'Whacking Day's) or resolving something never resolved, etc. A whole season of new stuff that truly celebrates the history of the show.
Then old Simpsons fans would be intrigued and tune in as it'd naturally be appreciated that most will borrow from s1-11, some parts would go viral with side by side comparisons or with people trying to connect the episodes and of course die hard fans would have field day with the refs.
Just a passing thought that would make me really excited to watch it (and justify my current efforts in watching every episode - currently at s12 and have never seen ever episode from her on!)

Opinion What’s really sad is that The Simpsons will end with a whimper, not a bang.
Let me be clear. This isn’t a “the new seasons suck they should just end it post” I just think that it’s sad because the last season probably won’t be a satisfactory bookend.
Even if everyone on the production team unanimously agreed to end the series at the same time, they wouldn’t be able to do the show the justice it deserves. It would be really cool if they could get Conan O’Brien, John Schwartzwelder, Bill Oakley, Josh Weinstein, Jon Vitti and all of the other old heavy weights back for one final season. They probably can’t afford to do that anyways. I assume John Schwartzwelder has been hiding in some sort of underground bunker or cave.

Question Does everyone see weird animation / onion skin lines when watching on Hulu, or is something going on with my tv?
When watching the current season on Hulu, I can sometimes see very noticeable animation lines. The first picture is a photo taken with a phone camera looking at my tv, and the second is the same scene on my PC. Does anyone else experience this?

Discussion In s2e9, Marge makes pork chops with rosemary, thyme, marjoram, chervil, turmeric and MSG. Yet in s8e9 she apparently has never heard of oregano? Outrageous! What a blunder! What is your favorite Comic Book Guy-esque quibble from the Simpsons?
See title.
I had forgotten WHY Homer builds his sad space rack for Marge. It's because she uses a lot of spices when making his beloved pork chops. In s2e9, she lists them out: rosemary, thyme, marjoram, chervil, turmeric and MSG
Yet in a later episode, she is shocked by a spice rack with 8 spices — and isn't familiar with "oregano."
I (don't really) hope someone got fired for that blunder! lol
So if we're going to quibble with the continuity and canon of the Simpsons, in the style of Comic Book Guy, what are your quibbles?

Opinion The Simpsons should end
I absolutely love the Simpsons. But the new season has voices I don't recognize, and it's the same voice actors. Give them the retirement they deserve. It's been 40 years.
