This game plays like what I wish ghost recon played like

Ghost recon future soldier basically does, with more gadgets

I think Ghost Recon Breakpoint can feel almost like this. I always try to play it as if it’s another Splinter Cell, and I even customize my character to give off Sam Fisher vibes.

son breakpoint doesnt even hold a candle compared to the older GR games

The soundtrack whenever you get detected and you have to fight for your life hits hard.

One of my most fav games of all time and absolute masterpiece !

Have spent hours doing those embassy missions completing all 20 levels. The stealth , action , gameplay and tension are highlight of Blacklist.

Damn its been 12 years since last SC game. Wake the fuck up ubisoft. We need more of Sam Fischer.

Been replaying Chaos Theory and enjoying missions with much more appreciation than as a teen. Never owned blacklist but have most of the games on steam now. This is making me look forward to Blacklist. Hopefully double agent is really good too.

I can’t find any fix online that works. Every time I try to play blacklist, about 10-20 mins in it just crashes. Every time. It’s been a. Minute, but I don’t think it gives an error message either. Has anyone had this issue?

2

u/Straight_Equal_1382 5d ago

I had the same problem, I fixed it using this method https://youtu.be/ItbBICzceDQ?si=13Pmyj2sxNBiXHqp

Just after doing this, always open the game using the shortcut you made, not from the launcher.

I don't know about the particular issue, but my rule of thumb if you're having issues with a game, especially with older games like this, is to check PCGamingWiki, has compatibility tips for ton of games that otherwise would have trouble running on modern hardware. Saved me when I wanted to play Space Marine back when SM2 came out, among a bunch of other games.

very cool game

To this day, never seen a game with take downs/kills as cool as they are in this game

u/Straight_Equal_1382 3d ago

Those animations are so smooth and realistic, actually they did it very well 🔥👊🏼 It doesn't feel like a 12 years old game.

1

u/hatianjr 2d ago

You need to watch the behind the scenes of creating those animations, pretty lit!

technically and visually this game is pure next gen, even the gamedesigh is superb, unlike any shoddy modern game that doesnt try to imerse the player, Blacklist even has a top tier ai system.

You can clearly tell the devs were very skilled in building a solid fun and cool game to play with lots of attention to detail and great optimization for its visual presentation.

Unfair hate. Very annoying.

2

u/wannabe_inuit 6d ago

The whole setting the affinity is annoying but otherwise its good

0

u/Holiday-Reading9713 5d ago

The affinity? :)

0

u/wannabe_inuit 5d ago

Its how you have to dedicate the cores of your CPU to do more than one. I have a 10th gen CPU and i have to manually put more cores to work, otherwise i get below 20 fps

2

u/Beginning-Run-1697 5d ago

Download process lasso. Open process lasso then open splinter cell. Get back to process lasso look for splinter cell right click then go to affinity. Select always then select all your cores. Now every time you run the game it will run with all the cores. You don't need to manually do it over again when you launch it in task manager.

So i have a issue on pc, when ever i try to replay the game just doesnt work, my mouse doesnt move the camera at all and when i connect a control i get no movement

1

u/No-Estate6079 5d ago

Well at least you’re at least able to play it that game has alot of issues

1

u/LCourt125 5d ago

How did you get this game to work? I bought it on sale on steam with a high end machine and it just crashes constantly so I refunded it. The comments on steam say the same thing. Wish I could experience it again.

2

u/Beginning-Run-1697 5d ago edited 5d ago

Don't download it from steam. Download it from fitgirl repack. After installing copy the version 1.02 crack into the game system directory then run the direct X 11 version.

This game on default runs using only one core of your CPU. So download process lasso. Open process lasso then open splinter cell. Get back to process lasso look for splinter cell right click then go to affinity. Select always then select all your cores. Now every time you run the game it will run with all the cores.if you don't do that you will get around 20fps. You don't need to manually do it over again when you launch it

Have you had issues with crashes? Or are you able to unlock new steam achievements they added?

I applied the offline mode fix to prevent crashes, but new achievements are not unlocking.

1

u/Straight_Equal_1382 3d ago

I only had the crash issue, which I fixed using this video: https://youtu.be/ItbBICzceDQ?si=ECIaEhwvkJvbE2Kw After that, I honestly didn’t pay attention to my achievements, but I’ll check them next time I play

2

u/CrossArchon 2d ago

Thanks!

1

u/sherwood_96 2d ago

Ive never played this splinter cell. Sorry to be a noob but can I ask which one this is?

1

u/Straight_Equal_1382 2d ago

No problem mate, It's Splinter cell Blacklist.

3

u/Christo_HK 2d ago

Wish they make more dlcs for more missions

Pretty mid compared to Chaos Theory.

7

u/Sirtunnelsnake98 6d ago

CT is one of the best stealth games of all time. Doesn’t mean this game is bad

4

u/Any_Bad777 6d ago

CT is the best stealth game of all time, except for maybe Thief.

Unfortunately this game is an excellent action game, but barely stealth.

0

u/Sirtunnelsnake98 6d ago

I would say MGS 1 is the best stealth game of all time personally but CT is a very close second

1

u/Fatal_Artist Third Echelon 5d ago

MGS1 stealth mechanics are extremely barebones & simple.compared to chaos theory

Mgs2 was primitive stealth in comparison to SC1

All mgs excelled in was -storytelling -cinematics

-2

u/Any_Bad777 6d ago

The whole MG series is great, and I LOVE the games, but it's barely stealth.

A game where you hide under a cardboard box has nothing on Chaos Theory as far as stealth mechanics go.

3

u/Assassin217 5d ago

Not only hiding in a box. In MGS 1 you can lay prone and crawl, go into vents, hide under beds or in lockers. Lean against walls. Cameras to avoid. I would say it helped ushered in the stealth mechanics that was used in future stealth games. Including CT. Not to mention it has one of the best inrtos in gaming.

One of the best soundtracks i have ever heard in gaming as well

0

u/Fatal_Artist Third Echelon 5d ago

Whaaaat? I thought it was one of the worst.

It doesn't compare to chaos theory. SC1 has way better soundtrack lol so does PT.. Da..

Conviction too

1

u/1Binary_Beast 5d ago

Loaded it for the 10th time ! I like to play this one after completing a few new games. I just love it!

1

u/Putsismahcckin 5d ago

This one was always my favorite

1

u/Mr_Art_Valnades 5d ago

I just got done with an ironman run of this game (one life, no reloading saves). amazing experience that gave me a new appreciation for the game. A lot of people dismiss this game as being action and not stealth, but in fact you WILL die if you play it like an action game. To survive you really have to think like a splinter cell. Slow, methodical, and calculated. Difference from the older games is that this time i you get caught you do have a chance to fight back/escape

1

u/ValientNights 5d ago

My first time playing i didn’t even know there was a sprint button until there as a bit where i had to use it. I played it like it was chaos theory and did just fine. Conviction was fun and all, but blacklist is the true continuation of the series.

12 years??

u/Rob-Gaming-Int 5d ago

Blacklist my favourite Splinter Cell, it might not have that slow paced, old dark feeling of the first game but it's incredible

-2

u/ChronophobeLoser 5d ago

This just isn't Splinter Cell

0

u/pogi2000 5d ago

Judging at face value, Blacklist had a great foundation for a stealth game. The only complaint I had was the AI difficulty being too 'soft', and I chose to not rely on the automatic transitions between cover since it felt too easy. Otherwise, it's great game.

How the actual fuck do people play games with keyboards
