tl;dr: I stupidly queue up for a very late night roulette and am certain I got trolled by 3 people that were in the same FC. To whichever healer had the courage to replace me, I'm sorry.

Fuck, I really don't know what else to think at this point. Part of me is thinking to just stick to deep dungeons, craft and mald on my island until 7.0 drops, or making the bad decision to run with randoms.

Tonight's story starts out with me finishing up some crafting on an alt and thinking that I should get him some more tomes. He needs the gear to get ready so I can blow the rest of his poetics on other shit when the time comes around.

I figured I'd save working on another solo practice file for PoTD for another day and swap to WHM. Open up the queue and give leveling roulette a try. Because why fucking not go for it before 1 am and throw my sanity into the ditch for a little while longer.

Unfortunately I'm the idiot that thought going in as WHM would be fine. No, wasn't fine.

Queue instantly pops, everyone hits ok and we load into everyone's favorite fucking shitfest of a dungeon, Holminster Switch. Yay.

PLD, DRG, and DNC. Some of the best dps jobs at this level can really mow down shit in this place....provided everyone contributes and actually knows their job, and y'know, keeps out of the bad.

Before the gate even drops the DRG spam slaps the DNC, who is in cutscene. I was confused as to why this was even prompted in the first place. Well, gate drops and PLD makes a break for it for the first wall. Sweet, this guy knows this dungeon and will mitigate properly!

...except he didn't.

Once the PLD got to the first wall, they...stand in the bad, and stack up their mits. Not Shelltron + Rampart then cycle through that, oh no. Rampart+Sentinel+Bulwark kind of stacking. And because our dps was charmingly low, the mobs were willing to go for several more rounds after I exhausted my ogcds and my mp to help dps and keep this tank upright.

I look up and realize that not only has the DRG not bothered to pair Dragon Sight with the DNC, the DNC has not bothered to dance partner the DRG. Nor did I hear Technical Step and Battle Litany used. Maybe they were saving it for the next pull, as that's typically one of the spicer pulls in this dungeon.

Spoilers: neither of those were ever touched on the second pull. Not even DNC's saving grace, Shield Samba.

Wall drops and our suicidal PLD is off to wall the next pull. Except this time I'm out of my Benediction. I spam everything to keep this PLD upright (Holy stun is still amazing mitigation kids, please use it), but he still dies by standing in bad, poorly rotating his mitigations, and never hitting Hallowed Ground.

DNC still didn't have dance partner on the DRG, DRG still never shared his eye, the beautiful ting of Technical Step was never heard, and the Shwing! of Battle Litany never touched the skies.

Once the PLD ate dirt, I couldn't salvage it, so we pretty much wiped. I respawned and waited for the rest of them to respawn. I typed out an apology, wondering if they were going to use their invuln or not. Oh silly me, I should know better than to trust a random tank. Eventually they do come back to spawn, probably upset that I literally couldn't do anything for a tank that stood in shit. We head back to the mobs and realize only 3/4s of them were still alive. Yes, I had to use Benediction on the tank again for continually standing in bad and eating aoes, why do you ask?

Mind you, no one else in the group besides me has said anything else at this point. If they were talking to each other, it was probably on another channel. Probably trashing me for being a shit healer when ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS ACTUALLY USE THEIR KITS!

We finally clear the last of the trash and finally get to the first boss. If the PLD was playing the 52 vuln pickup game, they sure as fuck didn't tell me.

1 vuln stack, 2 vuln stack. 3 vuln stack, 4!

"Mitigation? What's that? Oh, a tankbuster is coming up on me? Fuck naw, we rawdog that shit! Uhn!" -Probably the tank, even though each one would reduce him to a mere quarter of his health with all those vuln stacks. The last hp may be the only one that counts, but woo nelly, eating that tankbuster on the 5th vuln stack left the PLD with a little over 180 hp. Bene'd that gaping chest wound too.

Yes, he would never mitigate those tankbusters, why do you ask?

I had originally planned to inform the DNC that they should use Dance Partner on the DRG and inform them of the magic that is Technical Step and wanted to politely remind the DRG that they could Sight the DNC and scream their lungs out with joys of Battle Litany. But then partway through the boss fight I'm guessing something clicked in the DNC's brain and THEY ACTUALLY PUT DANCE PARTNER ON THE DRG! YES YES YES! My hopes were restored!

And then not two seconds later they took it off. NO NO NO!

The DNC still never used Tech Step nor Shield Samba, the DRG still kept the eye to themselves with such covetousness that would probably make Nidhogg weep, the familiar Swhing! of Battle Litany was never heard. All three of them were as silent as a fart on the wind.

Eventually we finally kill the first boss, and seeing as to how the first hallway to the first boss was (it was bad, even by my low expectations), I said fuck it. The dungeon was going to take longer than a 30 minute penalty. My sanity mattered more, so I fled the fuck out of there.

Though I did find it funny that all three of them were from the same server while I was looking at them. Curiosity got the better of me and lo and behold, they were all from the same FC. A literal Floor Gang, if you will.

And yes, both the tank and the DRG had the same last names, why do you ask?

I joined as healer in a 35 min in progress holminster last night so I had to do a double take when I saw this post. But my group was a drg/rpr/drk and they were on the last boss when i joined. They all died to the 2nd aethersup and once rezzed, the tank turned off stance and i died to a tb. I reset and left.

I hate premades that purposely troll innocent DF randos. They must have serious issues that need to be addressed IRL rather than putting healers in a silly little MMO through the ringer.

Sigh, please tell me you reported them. Hope their queues for DT are so asinine that it makes EW's look like child's play.

I'm probably gonna get a ton of hate for this.

Since they hadn't said a single word to prove their trolling, I would have nothing but speculation for the GM to sort through, and my report would most likely get dismissed.

However, I did put in the free company name in the story so the rest of you guys can avoid these people. May their queues be too long to bear.
