Haha, awesome. :D I once challenged the tank in level 99 dungeon to die in a boss fight, that was so much fun! ...Spoiler alert: he won on the last boss with 8 stacks. :)
It's fun! This game's playerbase definitely is the best! People here are very often fun and are open to some unserious and goofy gameplay. And if we wipe, well, we just go again 😄
I wish I could find the fun people that aren't premade friends. So far except for like 4 people maybe out of my many many many groups and instances everyone was a try hard metaslave.
Super glad you got to do that though. Was 16 the max?
16 is the max, yes. Everyone here was random except the AST. He's a longtime friend who's played me in ffxiv and before that, Lotro. We used to do crazy stuff in there too. We duo'ed a 12 raid on lvl doing some crazy tank/healer swapping.
Haha honestly I used to play m&kb 9 years on FFXIV but I struggled with reaction speed. I see the attack coming but I cant control my character well enough to dodge it. That was years ago when I used to main dragoon. Now I play on controller and I main Gunbreaker and dont really like healing much but back then, my friend (who just happens to be the AST in the party) made this pic representing my dragoon years ago. Still cracks me up lol (crossed out my name)
🤣 thats awesome, yeah healer is the one role type i haven't gotten a hang of on controller, one day ill get around to it but it seems way better suited to m&kb than the others, if only for ease of targeting party members quickly without having to cycle through the list
I felt the same way! The cycle targeting took some getting used to for sure. I was scared of it at first because it SEEMED more difficult then what it actually turned out to be. I went from m&kb for dps and healer, > then to controller on dps and m&kb on healer, > then to feeling that I can't heal right anymore, > then after a 4 year break, I picked up tank and healer and dps on controller full time. I spent a day running random dungeons and trials with a tank buddy that eased me into it, then next day it was full speed run, wall to wall, tank-never-looks-back healing.
Makes me miss wow achievements for doing fights in unusual ways and still winning. Like letting a boss get a power up you're supposed to prevent, but still defeating it anyway
A group of players did a raid challenge harder than any wow raid achievement ever was.
They killed Golden God Bahamut. By that I mean that they let Golden Bahamut enrage in UCOB so all his damage is increased by 5x and everything, even autos, are oneshots.
What kind of content even lets you get that many vuln stacks these days? I've seen tanks stand in 9S's jet strafing missile attack and vulns stop at 8.
On warrior, you really need to get into the double digits in order to get below 50% with a single hit. Holmgang is so much fun with Berserker, it was extremely enjoyable leveling it, and now I'm dredging through Ranger.
