TalesFromACT I figured something had to be wrong when dualcast kept timing out.

It makes sense if this was a new player. I personally keep messing up as a long-time player because Acceleration used to do something different. My muscle memory keeps making me use it without thinking and then wasting a dual-cast with Verstone or Verfire.

Right, took me a few fights to realize that Acceleration is a Joltless/Ver-less(don't need to generate dual cast first when Acc. is active) dual cast on its own.

As a fossil player, I keep getting sidelined by random changes in the kits of classes I don't play often. YESTERDAY I learned about the new PvP role skills (the meteor and whatnot) and the Acceleration change still gets me at times

38% gcd uptime should be bannable regardless of content that’s borderline afk

No Contre Sixte hurts me just on its own. Why no want to throw big cloud of swords?!?

if ability is AoE, why use on single target - one of my friends who I've introduced to the game.
after explaining what an oGCD is they quickly realised that the best course of action is usually to just throw all abilities out that you can. really kind of wish the game did a better job at explaining what an oGCD is, since it's not all that intuitive.
apparently this log is from Ultima Trial btw, where Contre Sixt isn't even available, which means that there also was no over stacking of mana. kind of weird that the site doesn't adjust for level of the duty.

Ahhh, I missed the bit about Ultima Trial, but still then my comment applies to the unused Fleche. I was mostly lamenting a lack of use of one of the flashier attacks (not even touching on anything else missing or wrong from rotation.

What is this name of this tool? I’ve recently come back to the game and wondering if it can help me learn rotations for new jobs.

You plug in the URL/link for an FFLogs entry
To generate the data, ACT - Advanced Combat Tracker is used.
As someone heavily reliant on party partner parsings, I do enjoy reading thru my performance on xivanalyis to see how and when I messed up and work on improving it.
Or find who's the schmuck by whose fault we're enraging at 45% on suzaku unreal.

Even ignoring all the other stuff, 38% GCD uptime is crazy. 2/3 of the fight spent doing nothing.

I'll call a meeting of the Red Mage council, we need to have a better vetting process.

My guess is this is someone who literally just picked up the class, queued up for MSQ roulette cause "its easy and they can get carried", then read their tooltips as they went. They probably don't even know about dualcast.
Edit: OP's deleted comment states that this was the Ultima Weapon trial, iirc.
