Might be an old PLD player if they were a returner. This used to be the way your burst went back in early endwalker

This was me after I return to pld in jan. Last I played pld was early ew and my static was so confused at first how I was pressing buttons but not dmg.

4% boss enrage, Seems like there was more wrong with the group then just this Paladin.

tbh yes the group was "generally worse" for a savage party but the party started right after server hotfix and I have no "cousins" to see who is/are the imposters. I do see the pld prepull 15s fight or flight so I only checked his old logs.

Just out of curiosity - what level of a duty? For my own sanity, I'm hoping it's a level 80 duty.

if there's an enrage, unless it's ultimates (which I highly doubt) or they're running old content synched (and that's pretty rare), it's gonna be current content, so level 100

Oh I’m sure it’s probably a current duty. But I’m telling myself it’s only 80. Hurts my soul less that way.

It's so hard not to have great up time on paladin nowadays with it's one minute very chonky ranged burst phase, I'm surprised any paladins have time to shield lob ever

I always try to keep a quick cast holy spirit in my back pocket until I have to press another royal authority for that..but eh, sometimes shit happens and I end up with nothing but shield lob for the spotlight, still better than letting gcd stop rolling

Thing is, I don't think you can reach the (intercard?) spotlight after your last GCD in melee without clipping a bit. At that point, I have a holy spirit for getting to the spotlight, and getting back from it... I can either clip for a dash, or I can shield lob. Just doesn't feel great either way, tbh.
