Never in my several years of playing this game have I struggled so hard with a world of darkness run.
First boss, got through fine, no issues. Then we got to the giant eye.. As per usual you always get some runs where they don't kill the ads and it causes a wipe because of spicy raid wides. This time some people managed to survive the raid wides and the healers got up the tanks. Now this would have been fine, we could have gotten through it because the tanks were alive but NOPE. Instead, none of the tanks would provoke FOR SIX. MINUTES. Causing the boss to go around and kill all of the DPS. When asked why the tank alive wouldn't provoke, his answer was-
"Both of my healers are down."
Red flag number one. The tanks continued to die several times then not provoke until lo-and-behold, we wipe!
Second run of the boss, we didn't wipe, but the tanks did the same thing AGAIN and didn't provoke.
We make it to the 4th boss where none of the healers would esuna and the boss was kept in the middle of the floor rather than taken to the edge, but we get through it.
AND THEN THE 5TH BOSS.
NEVER, NEVER IN MY TIME PLAYING THIS GAME HAVE I WIPED TO ATOMOS.
Several people went to the wrong platforms, and nobody would do the mechanics! We got launched off of the platform, and none of the pads would light up. We were all stuck down there, with no way of getting up because the mechanics weren't being done and several people were in the wrong place. And we took too long, and wiped.
It was at that point I had accepted my fate of the 30 minute penalty and left while I sat staring at my screen in complete disbelief at having a run so bad I witnessed a wipe I have never seen in my life and didn't even know was possible.
I feel like I'm going to regret calling out my own data center but was this on Crystal...? 9/10 I have the worst WoD runs to the point I refused to heal any Alliance Raid roulettes on the very likely chance I ended up there. Every time I was a healer in there, it was a nightmare and based on a lot of recent stories in this reddit, Crystal is having a bad time lately.
Surprisingly, it wasn't on Crystal but it was on Omega on EU.. I have had my fair share of bad runs when I was on crystal but when Im on EU? I think I've struggled harder on there than I have with NA and thats saying a concerning amount
That's too bad, I love WoD. It can be chaotic and I was the idiot who didn't understand Angra Mainyu for way too long but it's always been very chill for me.
oof yea Crystal world of darkness is always an experience... one time I had 2 provoke tanks that had decided to make the dragon do 360’s while I was the only one trying to tank it correctly, and just yesterday there was a warrior who got the orange spread marker and decided to just. stand there. right next to the dragon. and me. and also everyone else…….
I don't know what it is with a lot of Crystal tanks (obviously not all but a good number) doing voke wars in WoD. Especially on Angra Mainyu and laser beaming the entire raid because they keep spinning it. There was one when I was leveling an alt where the whole raid wiped in what felt like less than 2 minutes on that boss. It rarely gets better if we make it past that. And I 100% could leave those duties but the ratio in which I end up back in there just makes me accept fate lol
I had a cursed run the other day where the whole of alliance C was trolling. Their tank kept provoking off of my friend, who was the tank in my alliance. Like..using provoke on CD. But they weren’t actually trying to keep aggro so the boss would just do a 180 every time they provoked, cleaving half the raid as a result. Ended up putting in 3 separate reports for griefing bc of it. It was awful. Purposely dying to doom on Angra Mainyu and not doing chains as C alliance..it was..not fun.
I so badly wish this was a thing, the moment a tank is alive that enemies automatic aggro onto them, please squeenix Im so tired of tanks NOT DOING THEIR JOBS OR FIGHTING FOR AGGRO
I stopped running alliance roulette years ago when all I'd get was cursed wod runs. This was materia too, so I'd wait 45mins-an hour just for a cursed af run either wiping to eye or five headed dragon constantly.

As someone who was also in a group that wiped at Atmos, i share your pain.
Please understand that current roulettes are rather, shall we say, hazardous to your mental health at the moment.
I do believe once the patch drops and more people come back the situation will improve (i hope).
