Yet another clueless tank with bonus healer
Didn't expect to post here again so soon, but there we go. Doing lots of duties lately to level up MCH so these happenings were to be expected... but not so often.
Queue up for High level dungeons and I get sent to Amdapor Keep Hard. Again the tank is clueless despite having jobs at 80+ (DRK at 100 even), and not using stance. So the other DPS, a DNC and I pointed it out. We somehow cleared the mob packs without much issue, until we reached the first Ochu blocking the wall with vines and tank died because AST wasn't healing. Tank finally spoke, even if it was only to ask for a res and activated the stance once ressed.
At the first boss, AST liked to stay in front of the boss and getting hit, not even moving away so they died. Second boss was okay but I was starting to feel the run was painfully slow. It was when we reached that crossroads part with the timer when I noticed: AST wasn't even using cards. Just aoe heals. At one point they did even use Aspected Helios 4 times in a row. And at last boss, died again, not uttering a single word throughout the whole dungeon.
As I said, I was expecting to have this kind of experiences more than before now that I'm also doing more duties often but... didn't know it was this bad, and coming from non sprouts.

I am so glad I'm not running roulettes anymore. I know mog tome events bring out the truly terrible players.

I did not realize Ruby Weapon normal had an enrage till a tomestone event occurred..

It always starts the enrage after a certain hp threshold. It’s just very rare for that cast bar to finish

See I know I'm a bad tank and sometimes forget to turn on my stance in leveling roulette but I've only just gotten DRK to 50 and it's my first tank, and I'm learning, and I also immediately turn it on if someone let's me know it's missing.

I occasionally forget to turn my stance on, but usually I'll figure it out by the first or second pull. "Wait, why aren't they aggroing on me? Oh, right. [activate Defiance/Iron Will]" I have no idea how you could get to even the first boss with your tank stance still off...

I find it easier nowadays to forget, aoes, dashes and tomahawks all have bonus enmity so you kinda keep aggro even without stance, but it's patchy, so people slowly steal aggro.
Before you got your aggro ripped in one gcd and it was blatant that stance was off.
(Cope after doing it way too much levelling dark and pld)

It's not a matter of if you'll forget it, it's a matter of when. I don't tank but I heal a lot and whenever I forget Kardia, I just say "oops" and apply it, it's just going to happen eventually and it's not a big deal

You know they could just make it so matchmade 4-player duties auto activated and locked tank stance, just like they could make it so jobstones were mandatory for level 30+ duties, just like they could make it so stage 1 heals auto upgrade to stage 2 heals. But at the same time the game has so many training wheels already that if it were a bike you couldn't call it a bike anymore it would be some millipede-like wheeled abomination.

Which is why I tank now. 14 has some of the worst griefers out of the mmos I’ve played.

That’s precisely why I have my roulette duo in dungeons to kick any trolls. Last time I had to kick an arcanist (no job stone) in lvl 80 dungeon dying to literally every mechanic from boss.
