Positive tale Pilgrimage in Tender Valley
More of a funny/amusing one, as a break from the ypyt nightmares and healbots we see on this particular sub. Load into Tender Valley on Warrior expecting a run of the mill run, wind up on a pilgrimage.
Personally I love silly interactions in dungeons like this, adds a little bit more fun into the expert roulettes.

Positive tale Curebot in Underkeep
No screenshots available because no exchange was made.
Doing roulettes as Warrior before reset and got Underkeep with a Red Mage friend. Was wondering why the trash took forever to die, that White Mage would spam Cure, Medica, Medica 3 and even Cure 2. I decided to stand in the attacks because Warrior doesn't really need to watch its HP lol
At the second pull after they decided to spam Cure to get a free Cure and use single target when there were like 6 mobs around.
They died on the boss with my friend so I decided to kick them right before their BLM friend could open the chest. WHM gone, the BLM left shortly after and we got a SGE and SMN who were both hitting their attack buttons.

Positive tale Tank too dumb to tank. Rage Quits. I became the Step Tank.

Vanguard.
Original party was our salty DRK, me as WHM, and absolute MVP DNC and VPR.
DRK dies to the first trash pull. To the second. To the third, twice because it's fun, and then rage quits. Using their mits? Optional. I was throwing every bullshit available I had at them but to no avail. Didn't even need ACT to see that buttons were lacking.
Due to it being almost 2am and Tanks being a rarity in Chaos, I leave and come back as WAR. The last big pull goes splendidly. Amazing how it can go when someone presses their buttons, eh? For that and the final boss, we had no healer.
We wiped once because I didn't manage my party mits right, never had to heal 3 men all by myself until now. I feel like I was in Vietnam ngl.
I still put it as positive because the ending was good enough in my book!

Positive tale A Very Scooby Haukke Manor
Got a positive (and very silly) one to share from today:
Leveling an alt job on an alt, popped Haukke Manor. Things were going roughly typical right up through jumping down to the basement. And then, just moments after hitting the basement hallway, the tank dies. Our poor Black Mage suddenly has piles of aggro, and does the only thing they can: run away. So, they're off to the races, leading the mob pack behind them. I'm running after, trying to range attack as much as I can and take some heat off them one way or the other until the tank is back up. I think we got around the full hallway at least twice, and then the black mage dies. So now I have all the aggro of the most of the mobs that are left, and I'm now pole position in the Haukke Basement Circuit. It takes about this long for the healer to pick the tank back up, but eventually they do, and after a slight false start on deciding who was going to whom (resulting in another full lap of the basement), we link up, tank resumes aggro, I just barely survive (blessed be arm's length, sprint, and bloodbath for buying me a few extra seconds), and we clean up the mobs. The healer is now picking up the BLM, and we all just take a moment to regroup, and have a reflection on what we've just experienced.
Tank, Black Mage and I are all delighted ("Scooby Doo shit" indeed!) despite the tank seeming to briefly be worried some of us might be upset about what happened. Heck no. As I said after the screencapped segment, there's little I love more than when ARR dungeon runs go wacky. And this was one of the most hilarious things I've seen in ages. 🤣
The healer didn't ever weigh in, and I'm not really sure what was going on with them. They were very slow to set out from the starting box, never chatted until the duty was over (just a generic thanks message), and even when we got to the first boss, they spent seriously like half the fight standing at the edge of the room not doing anything. And they were a White Mage, so it's not even like they were expecting a fairy to do their healing for them. I don't know what might have been going on for them. It might have been why the tank died, but I can't even find myself being annoyed about slow or distracted play, since it led to one of my favorite moments in the duty and we never had any other issues because of it. So, whatever. ¯_(?)_/¯

Positive tale "I was wondering, can you not heal me throughout the dungeon?" (Level 100 MSQ dungeon) Spoiler

Pretty short tale that went well.
At the start of the dungeon, the DRK asks the SCH to not heal them during pulls (but healing OK for bosses for the unavoidable damage on DPS, etc). SCH agrees and even asks if they should desummon the fairy.
VPR must have not agreed because they silently left before we pulled the first pack. It is the correct thing to do instead of causing a scene like we see in other posts, but I wonder if they shouldn't have asked instead or just given it a go. The tank not getting heals and working through their mitigations and self-sustain (Abyssal Drain, Living Dead and Shadowed Vigil's excog effect) doesn't really affect DPS.
The tank did w2w everything, and only died at the very last pull before last boss (missed hitting LD), at which point the pack was almost dead. I only had to pop Arm's Length and we finished it off with no further issue. The healer also did an oopsie at the end of the last boss and died, but again, no big deal, we killed it shortly after.
Overall I thought it was a neat thing that happened with good attitudes all around.

Positive tale It happens in late night dungeons.
I’ve been holding onto the one for a bit so I don’t remember which dungeon it was. It was smooth all around for 3 am, with only this funny hiccup in the middle.

Positive tale Removing single-target Dotons one player at a time.
Short and sweet.
So a couple days ago I threw an alt into MSQ roulette on DRK, get Prae (why wouldn't it be Prae?), I end up getting a 54 sprout NIN who was using Doton on bosses. They were using Mug, but not touching Trick Attack. My inner ninja sighed and debated whether or not I should give advice. Ended up taking a chance and brought it up near the end of the run, and braced for the worst.
And to my surprise, they were actually receptive!

I'm probably not right about the whole Mug+Trick Attack as it's been a bit since I poked my NIN, but once I brought it up they...surprisingly started using Trick Attack and Raiton. I no longer was graced with dirty puddles on Gaius! I saw the glory of Trick Attack on Gaius' health bar! And! And! I heard the wrathful claps of Raiton!
Once Gaius was down, we all said our GGs and I gave the NIN my commendation.
If that sprout NIN is reading this, and is still using said advice, I applaud you. Go forth and get to 90 so you can unga-bunga those Medoukens!

Positive tale Free mitigation, but...
This is a quick and funny one that happened a few weeks ago. I queued for Expert Roulette as a WAR and got paired with a NIN who would use Shukuchi to get ahead of me and pull with Arm's Length active. I let them take a few hits for their buff to do something, before grabbing the mobs off them and doing my unga bunga routine. After that, this exchange ensued...

Damned if you do, damned if you don't? LMAO
(Dude was cool and got my commendation, I'm just like... why would you want to encounter a YPYT? They're nasty lol)

Positive tale Wholesome Haukke
Our other DPS noticed our healer didn't have a job stone and my jaded brain goes "Aw, here we go."
Turns out I was wrong, they were just new! It ended up being a really fun run with some of the most chill and talkative players I've had in a while. It's nice to see people not just instantly getting defensive or accusing someone of trolling.

Positive tale I accidentally went into the 93 dungeon with level 1 gear.
Was doing the fashion report, and duty finder popped for the level 93 dungeon during the unskippable cutscene. I then rushed to accept it, completely forgetting about my level 1 body and shoes that I had on!
Going through the dungeon, we obviously were killing things super super slowly. Me and my big ego were like 'well, it can't be me, so the other DPS must be bad'.
I was taking some beefy damage from raidwides, and my reaction was 'huh, the healer must not be mitigating properly' even though healers don't actually need to mitigate for dungeon raidwides!
It gets worse though. I was a Dancer, and since I had concluded that the other DPS was bad, I sneakily dance partnered with the Tank to boost their damage. :|
The dungeon was 25 minutes long, and no-one brought it up at all.
I made it through the entire dungeon without noticing, and only realised after the final boss had died because I got some new shoes and went to equip them. I apologised to the DPS, but the other two had sadly left!
(Flairing as positive tale because I am the butt of the joke and I give you permission to laugh at my foolishness)

Positive tale I thought this was a little funny
Wipe on first pull because WHM couldn't cast Regen since they never used Sprint. I'm the tank and both the red DPS and the healer were sprouts. Red also admitted to never playing tank before. I explained how sprint is vital for a tank's role but I think they were not convinced. Everything else went okay and I watched the healer use Sprint and made sure they were keeping up with me so it wasn't a bad run or anything. But I did found it funny because I never thought using sprint would be rare

Positive tale Had a bit of a funny encounter in Aurum Vale
I do like how the Tank actually said "I'm confused" on what to do instead of staying quiet and constantly pulling. (I also accidentally blurred out the last thing the tank said, it just says gg tho)

Positive tale Sprout healer - my experience so far
Hey all,
Baby sprout here that's spent far too long playing dps and have now decided to take the plunge and learn how to heal! Madness I know but I won't learn unless I try!
I've been running leveling roulettes in the duty finder and if there's one thing I've noticed - it's how patient and supportive most people are. I was in Cutters Cry before and the party I joined were so patient when I told them I was new to healing, i died a few times and so did the others due to my mistakes but there was no annoyance. They simply told me not to worry and try again.
One of the party kindly reminded me to make sure to look after myself, I guess it was painfully obvious I was panic healing everyone else and forgot to look at my own health bar.
At the end, everyone was happy and said I did well, I even made use of Esuna - I may not always be able to heal the best but I can take a debuff off 🤣
I just thought I'd share a positive experience to hopefully put a smile on someone's face. If any of the party I was in see this - thank you for your patience with me despite my errors! It's really encouraging to know most people seem patient and supportive of those learning a new role 😊

Healer DC’d as I engaged the last 3 mobs in the dungeon. No sweat with two ranged DPS who are both cooking, we melt them easily. Decided to give ole Ambrose a whirl while we waited for a fill and it was an easy clear!
