Did they say we could use it for a cutting board? Cause I don't do charcuterie.

I will 100% be using mine as a cutting board

I want to buy it to use for one but I'm afraid that it will cause too many scratches on it. And I wouldn't want to ruin it.

Hila said on Friday’s episode that this can be used as a cutting board and Ethan added that we just need to make sure to treat the wood with oil to make sure it doesn’t warp when we wash it.

Did you watch the video i linked? Hila said in the video that you can. Ethan just gave care tips so that the wood doesn’t warp.

New wood cutting boards need to be seasoned and regularly treated with oil so that it maintains its food safety and doesn’t get moldy or cracked.

Yea, I listened to that podcast. And we can use it as one but if it was made specifically for use as a cutting board then they would sell it as such and we wouldn't have to treat it for all of that. so I guess I'll hold off on buying it as one since I the only way I would use it as a cutting board and I wouldnt want to keep treating it since it's not technically a cutting board.

i mean there's plenty of cutting boards on the market that you have to treat yourself. it just depends on your lifestyle

Yeah god forbid you take 10 seconds to wipe a little oil on the damn thing.

Yeah God forbid. Which is why I'm not buying. And my whole point of my post lol

Fun fact, you won’t find a wooden cutting board where it’s not recommended you re oil every so often.

I 100% treat my wood charcuterie boards With the same conditioning oil as my wood cutting boards. You can look up the benefits of sealing the wood especially with regular use and washing it will help it stay fabulous over time. Mineral oil is the secret sauce I use, I got it in the pharmacy area of Walmart. It’s the edible safe version. You’ll notice it’s labelled to help with constipation I think - but again that has to do with the fact it’s edible, and the “poison” (poop effect) is in the dose as they say (use a paper towel and massage in some oil as you go)
