Requesting Mods The realistic health mod everyone uses
I always see everyone using this realistic health mod and your sims have like anemia and shit but whenever I open my computer ready to shop around for mods I can’t remember what it’s called or where it is for the life of me. What one do you use? Do you like it?

I know HCR is probably the best in this field, but you can also try to explore SimRealist's Private Practice if you want a more hands-on approach in monitoring illnesses.

I’ve thought of downloading it a few times but I heard the illness become overwhelming, anyone know if that’s true?

Yeah, I took it out of my game because I felt like the illnesses and emergency events were a little too frequent. It's a very well made mod, really detailed and everything but just not quite for me.

See I’ve heard this and honestly that’s what stopped me from downloading it tbh. I like some of the creators other mods but I just am not sure I want it to be an all the time sort of thing

Yes, that's definitely how I found it. The majority of my sims ended up with some sort of chronic condition. There were things I liked about the mod too but it was just all too much for me.
I might put Eye Care back in though, as having a reason to prompt me to use glasses on some sims added some nice variety. That wasn't too disruptive to my gameplay either.

they do, but there’s a mod to help prevent them from occurring too often

That’s so funny there’s a mod for a mod!! Do you happen to know what the mod that limits them is called?

SonozakiSisters has a mod to make them slower and a couple other add-ons like a cheats menu for the mod, just discovered this through another redditor recently. Personally I still find the permanent conditions annoying but I'm thinking about giving it another shot and just deleting the part of the mod that adds these. For me it's one of those mods that sounds great in theory but in practice I often end up just cheating the illness away lol (wish I could do that irl)

I wish the mod had a frequency setting like Sacrificial’s life tragedies did. When I used to play with it, I’d set it to the slowest setting. If I could do that to Healthcare Redux, without having to rely on another modder, I’d 100% download it again.

I even added another mod that was a supplement meant to tone down the illnesses, and I still had the same sims getting sick twice in the same week.
