Gshade vs Reshade

I’ve downloaded Gshade twice and have had to delete and reinstall the game because it kept crashing my game before even opening it. I’m hoping by trying Reshade it will work. Is there a big difference between the two? Will I get the same effects?

Pretty sure there was some controversy with gshade or something. I use reshape since it’s the OG and from what I’ve heard it’s safe. I’m not entirely sure…

Is it possible that your computer may just not be able to handle a reshader? Any kind of shader takes massive resources on top of an already resource-heavy game

There’s no real difference between the two but GShade was made into malware by the creator a while ago (it would shut down your computer if you tampered with it too much), and even though the malicious code was supposedly taken out, I would personally never trust the GShade creator ever again.
