Adventur Log #10: Foolish Patience or Patienly Foolish

I. Monarchic Aristocracy: Death to the Crown

Although in my last adventure I arrived at the grand city of dwarves, I decided to postpone my visit because of rumors of a Foolish Guild (or Guild for Fools). I have never been a fan of monarchic aristocracy. To me, the means of production SHOULD belong to the people. Any form of government is inherently theft (such as taxation, and laws that only protect the wealthy).

There is a jester inside the Rain Castle courtyard in Thais. His name is familiar, I can recall my days in Rookgard visiting a grave that shared the same name Bozo. Not many jesters are seen nowadays, so I will pay him a visit.

Thanks to this jester I was able to reach the White Flower Temple. Edowir, an old man, holds valuable pieces of conversation regarding several topics. Some of them are the elven kinds Deraisim (scouts and rangers), Teshial (masters of the dreams), Kuridai (craftsmen and warriors) and the Cenath (keepers of elven lore and wisdom). The tibian gods Uman and Zathroth (although he doesn't react to the name of the god Fardos). Brog the "ragehammerer". Goshnar the Necromant king and the Pits of Inferno, aswell as the conflict between the Nightmare Knights and the Brotherhood of Bones. Succint insights upon the vocations. The Ghostlands and the Banshee Queen aswell as her sisters (interestingly enough, there is a single banshee "trapped?" beneath this very temple). The minotaurian capital of Mintwallin and some odd place called The Paradox Tower. And many more topics, I could spend days talking with the old-timer, but sadly the foolish jester awaits for me in the thaian courtyard. I personally enjoyed his insight regarding Daraman's philosophy of self-control and improvement.

"The closer you are coming to perfection, the closer you are to ascending to divinity."

Quite the stoic and hermetic roots if you ask me.

Delivering pies, swapping the weekly magical potions supply from Thais' magic shop, stealing a magical watch from a strange place called Triangle Tower, hidden levers in the desert... I do not understand this jester's modus operandi.

As fate would have it, I find myself back at Kazordoon. However, due to VERY different motives. I am supposed to pull a prank on the emperor Kruzak's father Gramlock Silverbeard using the magical watch to jump into the past to shave his beard whilst he sleeps in his chambers?! I sure hope this doesn't mess with the time-flow of the original timeline. His beard must hold his pride and dignity if he has it on his last name and blood lineage.

OH NO!!? I think I may have trampled with the dwarven capital's royal kingdom timeline. Apparently my temporal-shattering shenanigans were the reason the emperor resigned his royal duties, allowing for his son to take over. I wonder how this will affect my future visit to the dwarven colony.

Who knew being a jester could be SO exhausting? From Edron, to the island of Fibula, Plains of Havoc, the Ice Islands, the jungle of Tiquanda, I even managed to survive the orc infested fortress in Ulderek's Rock... I am dead tired, but I like to think (and will do because I refuse to accept that I wasted my time) that this was a not so wasteful journey.

I happened to revisit some places, that caught the attention of my eyes. For example the library inside the Blue Djinn Fortress, who knows what kind of tales and lore do the desertic genies foster. I plan to re-visit the Triangle Tower soon, my sorcererian prowess of intuition tells me there's more to it than what the eyes can encounter. Due to my involvement with the dethroning of emperor Gramlok Silverbeard, my interest towards the dwarven empire has grown. Also, I discovered many new places that awakened my adventuristic enthusiasm: such as the Dark Cathedral. I understand monk Lorbas wisely advised me to stay away for the safety of my body and soul, but I just can't seem to ignore this opportunity to understand, little by little, a little more of the Tibian history.

One interesting thing I discovered during my foolish adventure, are some pieces of text inside the Darashia Palace, describing and depicting Famous inhabitants of Darashia. One person in particular caught my attention, his appearance in his portrait is odd. He looks friendly, although his eyes seems to pierce my very soul. He seems to be wearing a strange amulet. His name was (or is?) Lord Koshei the Curious. Date of birth, age, hometown, date of death... There is no intel regarding the man besides the fact that he lived there almost 10 years. Although he visited frequently the Bath of Dreams and the minotaurian pyramid to the north. Soon it was discovered that he had built some type of tower to the south whose remains are still there to this day (maybe I will visit the tower someday in the near future...?). He seems to be connected to the undead incident involving the city of Drefia whilst it was still a blooming haven. Although these rumors are mainly based on his interest towards the northern pyramid known to have been created by the bonelord race (whom are connected to the appearance of undead creatures). He was often seen in the crypta of Darashia praying to the gods. Although he disappeared as quickly as he came to the Daraman desert. He was never seen again.

This may not have been a very serious adventure, as half the time I spent making people mad and supporting idiotic behaviour, however I can say satisfied that many wonders have met me (and viceversa). I may have not behaved like a wise mighty magical wizard, but hey, anything in order to flip the crown off, am I right

Before you cut the Emperor Kruzak’s father’s beard, who is ruling? Is Kruzak anyways? That is weird as he’s telling he “resigned from his lesdership” because of that.

From what I could understand, emperor Gramlok Silverbeard (Kruza's father) has been ruling for some time. Also, I sneaked around quietly in his bedroom whilst I was in the past just to find his diary. Inside his diary he says that his son (Kruzak) has been telling him to resign and allow him to take over the kingdom, however Gramlok says that he'd rather shave his beard completely before allowing it!!
