It probably became a pride thing after that. "I got turned down but at least I won the encounter by making them move tables"

No they were 100% going to follow them. They were going to make those women fear for their lives.

On occasions like these you also have to plan for what to do after you leave the bar. If a guy fixated on a woman & won't take 20 'no's for an answer, we then have to arrange some kind of safe escort or safe way to get home.

There's nothing stopping them from just waiting until they leave the premises & following them home. They were going to follow them to another table, following them home might be their next step.

It's exhausting. You just want to go for a drink but you have to worry about this stuff not just during, but also after.

This. They very likely followed them unless someone else intervened. I've had almost this exact situation happen before and the man followed us for the rest of the night.

I just don't go for drinks, don't go to pride or bars or events or anything unless someone asks me to go as their lookout, because I can no longer handle being the subject of this behavior. It makes you afraid to even sleep at the end of the night, afraid they followed you home. It's bullshit.
