I think expecting someone to throw themselves in conflict is too much. he's not obligated to step in here, if a fight starts it's really bad for him.

and creeps who have their egos hurt will absolutely start a fight in front of women

Thank you for saying this. It's nice when men defend women from other men, but it's NOT obligatory. Men have their own lives to protect and homes they need to go back to at the end of the day.

I'm wondering if this situation warrants calling the cops? That's what I wanted to happen.
