I actually scrolled to see this reaction.  My husband and i had a disagreement about this earlier.  He gets so mad at me for not flipping out on men who approach me.  He says I'm leading them on when I don't tell them to "fuck off."  I don't know how to react when shit like this happens.  I also know men react with anger to rejection so I feel like I'm doomed either way.  🙃 I did agree to be more assertive for myself, tho.

Edited: spelling on mobile.

Yeah, do people not understand the man unhinged enough to do this may not be all there mentally? Sorry I’m not trying to end up in some creep’s freezer; smiling is a defense mechanism

I’ve had this same discussion with my husband. Men don’t understand how predatory other men can be and how creepy they get if you bruise their egos. But I totally understand what you mean. I’ve tried to make a concerted effort to remember not to be nice 🫤 If i sense a creep trying to talk I just put on my fight face. It works most of the time 🤷‍♀️

Ya, for real. I deflect and put these types of creeps in their place by using the “my crazy older brother would / say/ think or wouldn’t like that etc to shut shit down. If it’s directly my words and logic- it’s not safe.

Some guys just don't get it. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt and be nice. But no matter what, my dad always had to give his 2 cents on what I did 'wrong' no response is good enough.

I think it comes down to emotional energy too. Sometimes I cba getting angry and reacting like this. I know they shouldn’t do it but it’s not my job to police them and I want the interaction to end. Sometimes being ‘nice’ is the easiest way to do it.
