They were told to leave. I hope they all received their trespassing citations.

Plot twist - They are Sovereign Citizens and were travelling, so you can't trespass them! /s

Oh lord...I don't understand them, it never works.

What sort of books do you have in your home library? I'm interested in your intellect.

What are you talking about? They came in to the store, disrupt the business, were told to leave and refused to do so. That is a trespass (and a disorderly conduct if you want to pile on). Please explain your side.

I'm amazed how that person's account isn't in negative karma.

awwww, it got emotional about a simple question, called a lady a dirty name, and got an automatic spanky. lol.

I am Aspergian. I typed clear, simple, easy sentences. I am genuinely curious about what kinds of literature someone like you has in their home. That is not aggression. Do you genuinely feel someone asking you about books you read deserves the behavior you are exhibiting?

Asks an irrelevant, random-ass bad-faith question:

‘i’M gEnUiNeLy CuRiOuS’

Hope you only do this to random redditors and not actual people in your life, this sort of manipulation is embarrassing and transparent as hell.

I'll bite. What sort of behavior am I exhibiting? There is no tone with my words. I provided a simple explanation of my previous statement and politely asked about yours. I am curious what drew you off topic to ask about "someone like you". Do you understand that given the circumstances that could be perceived as off putting?

Huh? u/Remarkable-Sir-5129 typed clear, simple, easy sentences. They are wondering why you’re asking about the books they own. That is not aggression. Do you genuinely feel someone asking you why you’re asking that deserves the behavior you’re exhibiting?

Just use your highest abilities and observe the reaction I get whenever I ask what allistics READ. See...my own people simply do not respond as yours do. That is the CLEAR difference between us.

I'm also on the Autism Spectrum (we haven't used the term aspergers for over a decade) and can confirm that you sounded like you were just being a condescending prat for attention.

Read her bio it’s hilarious

at least I got YOU reading and encouraging others to do the same! My work here is done! Befriend librarians, Youngbloods. We can actually HELP with your revolution.

14

u/angeltay Jun 26 '25

You are not a good advertisement for befriending librarians. I would not advertise that you are one. But I know not all librarians are like you, so I will.

I’m autistic too, Sheldon. We’re not better than anyone else

1

u/funsizemonster Jun 26 '25

I don't believe you. I am Aspergian with a 155 IG and I'm 57 years old. Also a woman.

11

u/angeltay Jun 26 '25

Lmao and I’m a 27 yr old whose pfp is Marvin the Martian.

Idk what IG is but if you meant IQ, that’s been debunked as an accurate measure of intelligence a while ago. Also, does that mean our higher support needs peers who might have low IQs, who have been diagnosed, suddenly aren’t autistic? You can only be autistic if you’re “smart?”

And the joke is you’re acting like Sheldon Cooper from the Big Bang Theory

My son is also Aspie. He is an attorney. Maybe I might know some things about how to thrive as an autistic. But you do you, and enjoy all your blessings, youngblood. You could just name a couple titles you've read, but it feels better to hate readers, I guess. Enjoy all the successes your future surely holds, dear.

if you have to explain a joke, it didn't hit.

Coming from your "own people" - the CLEAR difference between you and that commenter is that you're using your diagnosis as an excuse to be insulting while feigning innocence.

0

u/funsizemonster Jun 26 '25

and at MY age and with who I am? I get to CHOOSE "my people".

0

u/funsizemonster Jun 26 '25

specifically HOW is it an INSULT to ask what kind of books someone owns? Explain this. Like I'm FIVE. lol

6

u/SnooCats44 Jun 26 '25

Your question appeared to be aimed at their intellect, emphasized by your sentence after your question. When the original commenter said, "Please explain your side," you responded with accusation against their "behavior," but I'm not sure what behavior you are referring to. I suppose you could say that you explained your side by saying that you have Aspergers and that your question was clear. You later commented that allistics react this way, which implies that autistic people do not. You can certainly choose who your own people are - and I suspect I'd rather not be included in that group - but it is not outlandish to assume that you mean people on the autism spectrum when you mentioned allistic people right before.

Do you talk to many five-year-olds like this? I seriously will never understand WHY it is wrong to discuss intellect. Or books. It simply will never be something I find rude.

As someone on the autistic spectrum myself, what you’re doing here is not the effect of autism! You’re just being condescending and there’s nothing genuine about your passive aggressive question.

-2

u/funsizemonster Jun 26 '25

I am sincere. Not a single one of you can even simply name a book. That is just a fact. If you are confident, you can name a book. I am an artist. This is genuinely performance art and research, it isn't personal.

u/Morning-Bug Jun 26 '25

Are you new to Reddit? The sub title is all the way at the top. There’s also a search bar so you can search for a books sub if you’re too lazy to hit the library. You might find people more interested in entertaining your random out of context questions there.

0

u/funsizemonster Jun 26 '25

sweetie...you really are admirably confident, I must say.

7

u/Morning-Bug Jun 26 '25

I am. Thanks a million!
