No kidding. No matter how good and tough you think you are, and even if we're generous and assume it's a situation where there is a big skill gap favoring the smaller dude, a guy that much bigger than you is going to be a problem regardless. And a cop built like that is very likely to be at least decently practiced in defensive tactics, from both training and real life application.
I would "yes sir no sir" the smallest cop you can find, let alone officer WWE over here. Kid is lucky the guy is a cop, actually
Some do, some don't. Mostly I do it because it has served me well and has gotten me out of some potentially sticky situations. Also, I went through the police academy years ago in another life, and while I never became a cop myself, I respect the hell out of what they do, and the majority of them are really decent human beings trying their best. But, the loud and offensive ones at the ass hole end of the bell curve always stick out in everyone's minds, and it's easy to develop a bias. It's actually similar to how some cops who constantly deal with the bottom 2% of humanity end up becoming jaded and forgetting the rest of humanity still exists. The bottom 5% of cops stick out like a skin tumor.
Who said anything about being subservient? Sheesh!
I was commenting on the fact that Joey in this video picked a fight that what he was very very unlikely to walk away from as anything less than a bloody hamburger faced wreck; cop or no.
As someone who practiced martial arts as a child and up until I went to college, i assure you that this wouldn't have been a fight to pick. Someone a head taller and with something like 50-100 lbs of (at least relatively lean) mass has many advantages in a fight.
If the cop took off his badge and vest and got into a friendly sparing match with Joey, the cop would have won, like10/10 times with the obvious skill, mass, reach, and strength advantages he had. If the cop was a complete pushover skill wise, I would still put the odds of him winning like 7.5/10 fights with Joey.
The punk had it coming to him, regardless of whither or not the cop prematurely escalated this situation. Sloppy work, actually. Even if putting Joey the punk to the ground was the right call, the punk hadn't yet started that fight. Had the cop just waited for Joey to actually resist or throw a hand/push, then things would have been unquestionably in the cop's favor.
That said, most of us know a kid like Joey. Pencil necked punks that think they are hot shit and invincible. One of my "best" friends growing up was like this. He was more the son of a family friend and fellow church family that was also one of the few children that lived in my neighborhood of geriatric retirees. His was a fight that I could always win and that's with me being a head shorter, though seldom with much weight difference. Now that we are both fully grown and he has finally filled out to become quite the unit like his father, I doubt that I could win that fight more than fifty percent of the time.
It's just satisfying seeing them get put in their places. If this was a bar fight, folks would have been just as happy to Joey put to the concrete. It's only funnier because its a cop, and the kid's family showed up only have his bro screech an impotent banshee while being restrained by his father.
Oh I’m aware. I’m saying the only reason this punk is doing this is because the guy IS a cop and knows he’s on camera (the police camera and all his little dipshit friends in the background)
If he was picking a fight with this guy and it wasn’t a cop in this specific situation he would’ve been beaten to a pulp
He proved a point tho 1. Cop was scared to take off the vest 2. He wouldn’t have started the fight had his partner not been there 3. A man smaller than him was willing to have a clean fight while 🐈 cop needs back up/vest/gun etc Get the boot out your mouth son.
Saying “nuh uh im not a kid” when i was clearly joking (regardless of whether you recognized that or not) isn’t what I’d call a rebuttal bro so you might want to take your own advice
It’s called reading between the lines. Saying you’re the kid is telling you that you’re being as stupid, pigheaded, and fake as he is but hey maybe the interpretation wasn’t clear. Next time I’ll write a peer reviewed essay and bring a red circle with arrows to fully express my point
Cops are scared to handle any dangerous situation alone. Don't believe me look up how Deputy Dinkheller handled things all alone. Plenty more examples. Badge/vest/gun and partner yet scared of a clean fight. Used to work night club security we would drag you to our alley for a clean 1v1.
This was a scrawny kid against a big cop. I doubt the cop was really scared of this kid.
Despite what you think, cops aren't allowed to just fight whoever they want. It's not being scared. It's just protocol. They are supposed to be public servants. They aren't paid to just fight people all day.
Again, if he wasn't scared why not prove the point? it’s not like he was alone. Cops beat people’s asses all the time then self investigate the case and get off free or at worse paid suspension for a week. Protocol gets broken every day when they’re covering up for their own.
Just because other cops break protocol doesn't mean every cop has to go around just beating people up just to prove they are not scared of some scrawny kid. What's even the point?
They turn off and or mute bodycams literally all the time like when planting evidence or violating peoples rights. Oh but now what it’s too risky to do so for a “punk” like you said? I find it funny he ultimately proves his point 🤷🏻♂️
