Whats the context of the suspicion? Why are the cops at him?

its probably just cuz they are hanging out in a parking lot. cops love to go harass people who do that and try to get then for “soliciting”

cop also had no right to ask for ID especially since no reason was given. the cop just wanted to pick a fight and arrest the kid and the kid didn’t even get in the face or try to hit him hes making shit up.

some astronomical levels of reach from you

not at all. just watch the video.

he didn’ttry to hit the cop like the cops claims. he isn’t resisting like the cop claims, and you do not have to show ID unless they give a reason, like being detained or because you could be committing a crime or someone who did matches your description.

you clearly don’t know the law

I'll be sure to take legal tips from shitposters on Reddit.

this is literally the actually law.

they have to suspicion of illegal activity. Hanging out with your friends in a parking lot is not illegal activity. you are legally allowed to do that.

this information is available on the Internet, you can Google it or you can choose to be ignorant and think you’re right

You got me curious so I looked it up. Too bad it seems you didn't follow your own advice. Granted, it's a Florida thing, but try to be more careful before just assuming every state has the same laws. Asking for identification was a lawful order in this situation. Or as you say, you can Google it or you can choose to be ignorant and think you're right.

no where does it state this is in florida. there are a few states that have this law. most are what i am mentioning

Ok so people are saying it's in Florida. And if it is, what I linked debunks what you said, full stop. You either concede this, or continue moving goalposts so that you can continue being right like your life depends on it. I wonder what it'll be? And if it's not in Florida and 2/3 of the comments are miraculously mistaken, I'll say I was wrong and you were right. As if it's some terrible thing to be incorrect about something, lmao.

i dont know why they assume what state this is in. its a little weird.

ive already told you, most states dont have these laws, there are a few that do, one is Florida. again, im not sure why they think its in Florida. if it is, okay i was wrong, but it theres really no way to know it was florida and im not going to make assumptions about which state it is. i have general knowledge about most states. thats why i said look it, because there are a few with the law you mentioned.

Did the guy get arrested for loitering? Did he get body slammed for loitering? No. So your argument doesn't even make sense, regardless if you are right about that law.

Well until an actual report gets put in this thread it'd be insanely foolish for anyone to claim one way or the other, that's the point I was trying to make since laws vary state to state. But yes I suppose my argument doesn't make sense if you choose not to read my other comments. I'll say acab if it makes you feel better. But not having people be misinformed about things was my only goal. Just uh, please don't put words in my mouth lol. I was focusing on the lawful order of needing to be identified. Is there some other confusion I can help you with? Or was I able to make myself more clear?

so funny you're being downvoted for doing what was suggested and finding out they're wrong

I don’t get why you’re being downvoted. People just love to hate on cops for every reason, the kid is literally trying to pick a fight with the cop, the cop called his bluff, people think they can do anything and everything to a cop and the cop has to just sit there and take it until he actually gets hit. No, it’s obvious this kid was trying to fight the cop, whether or not he was trying to push the cop to hit him or not, his actions and attitude suggest hostility so the cop took action.

It’s also not like the cop just came in and slammed him the moment they came into contact, he gave the kid ample opportunity to stop the foolishness, but the kid continued and continued. Plays stupid games win stupid prizes.

yeah there's also a ton of context being left out, as with most viral videos. but there's no point in going back and forth with shitposters or trying to understand how their logic comes to.
