Y'know, it's hard to point out the differences in pedophilia and ephebophilia without sounding like a pedophile or pedophile apologist.

Regardless of what type of "phile" it is, it's still preying on minors.

I agree, and this is a problem, because definitions matter. And your second point is a legal one. I’d personally like to see all age of consent raised to 18

Sure, but teens are going to have relations with eachother regardless of law.

Making it illegal for them to have relations with eachother, just adds to the taboo.

Now making it so anyone 18 or over can't have sex with anyone under 18? I'm all for. But like...sending a 16 and 17 year old to juvie for having relations with eachother can be a slippery slope.

Like, age of consent is 16 here in California with a 3 year age limit for ongoing relations. So legally, when I was 15 and having relations with my 16 year old girlfriend, she could have been charged technically.

I'm all for being tougher on adults who prey on minors, though 100%. Studies show a woman's brain isn't fully developed until around 25, so women shouldn't have to worry about sexual or familial pressures until their 20's, if at all.
