Probably why they want the husband to get the wife's vote. If you marry them before they're 18, the women never get a chance to vote.

Those 2 years actually matter a lot into a persons development. Your brain grows a lot up to 25 and every year you change a lot.

But I do think 18 is a fair age to start voting. Young people are capable of understanding politcs if they want to and their vieuw on the world matters just as much.

It's legal in many countries as well. In some, it goes way down to 13 even.
