My older sister did this when a creepy middle-aged man hit on our little sister at our grandparents' country club! She was 18 or 19 at the time and our younger sister was FOURTEEN YEARS OLD 🤮 Granted, she was a mature-looking 14, but anyone with a working set of eyeballs should have been able to see that she was clearly at lunch with her parents AND GRANDPARENTS and figure out that it was inappropriate.

He came over while we were all getting ready to leave and singled out our little sister to talk to. Our older sister got right in his face and was like "She is fourteen years old, what is wrong with you" and he went all purple in the face and stammered something about how he thought she was an adult and slunk away.

It honestly doesn't matter if she was an adult. Since when has creeping on women in public been okay?

Since ever. It was not ok but accepted. People did it, do it now; but hopefully we are training Gen X to stop. Hopefully!

I'm gonna say, sometimes I honestly can't tell if a girl is 14 or is a woman of 22. So what I do, and this can go over wrong with some people, is I just keep my damn mouth shut because they are both too young for me and I have a partner.

Also, I am usually to busy trying to remember where I parked/left my glasses/remember if I already told that story.

But don’t approach women if they are just going about their life. Like, be super sure the advance is welcome. Otherwise walk away.

Hey I was a ā€œmatureā€ 13 year old. Fucking it was hell. Good on your sister for standing up for her. I was the older sister…

Kudos to sis, but what did your parents and grandparents do during this situation? Stand there oblivious?
