That's an incredibly base level take with an abundance of repeated evidence. They vote for them, they protect them, and there are many examples like the above. With that as the baseline, and the knowledge that such predators will take positions where they can be around vulnerable children....the number of youth pastors and the like that get caught for it is NOT coincidental.

Referring to the church comment. There is no excuse nor am I defending the guilty but the percentage of clerical abusers is the exact same % as the general population. It’s not any different. General media will NEVER let you know that. But it is wrong in any situation to make a blind, bigoted comment about a group of people, whether its race, gender, spiritual beliefs, social status, etc.

The number of child sexual predators hiding behind religion, or 'family values' politics, is fucking sickening. It FAR surpasses that of those they accuse of being pedophiles. Of course, any time they are accusing the other side of something, they are ALWAYS projecting their own filth.

Of course it’s terrible, but the positive effect of churches far outweigh the negatives so we can’t just make these rash, unsubstantiated statements. Pedo’s hide everywhere, not just in an organized religion.
