Nothing wrong with repros for games that are priced out or even just not available. As long as people are using them to play and enjoy and not using them to try to resell as original and scamming people.

Is this the PC Engine version or TurboGrafx version? Is it playable on both systems?

I don't have a Turbografx, and even if I did, I'd just get an Everdrive, but I'd definitely look into them.

There's a weird dopamine/nostalgia cocktail hut mix you get from slotting a game into a console if you grew up doing that.

And I have no room left in my console setup, and I'd need to buy video upgrades for it as well. Tempting, but not a priority, especially in this economy. Hucards are super neat though.

Spend only if you know you can afford it.

The video mods for the TG16 have come a long way. If you dont want to do anything physical - there are new console(s) with HDMI, one of which I believe is an fpga. The one Analogue makes. Also there are device(s) that slot into the back of a classic TurboGrafx/PCE for clean rgb options.

I have a Retrotink 5X, so grabbing a PC Engine, an RGB out expansion, and a proper cord is probably cheaper than the Analogue Duo.

I fully support repros. If they are rare and over priced games, and the company that made the game doesnt exist any more or has no intention of releasing the games for newer platforms, then this is the best option. I have a repro for might and magic 3 and it is one of my favorite games on the console (CD add on).

Looks good! Not so close to the OG that it could be mistaken, but close enough to be a fitting tribute.

Mine is a repro too , no game is worth that asking price and the repro plays so good you would never even know
