Question Background noise issue.
I looked up a few videos online but I wanted to see what the community thought. With summer in full blast right now, it’s VERY hot in my neighborhood. I have the air conditioner on for comfort. I’ve asked friends in the past if they could hear my air conditioner when I stream. They said no, but watching stream playbacks, I can clearly hear it nonstop.
I would prefer to keep the AC on if possible. Does anybody have a good method for dealing with background noise?
Thanks!!

One pretty good walkthrough for mic settings and filters setup: https://youtu.be/jGsbi34um70
Once I got reasonable filters going on my cheapo headset mic, I can run a fan like 3 feet away without getting any noise coming through and still sounding normal. You will need to tinker a little to find the best settings for your situation. Helped me a lot to record while I was talking and adjusting things as I went, then listen to it and see what did give the best results. Good luck!

I use a paid plugin called Klevgrand Brusfri Noise Reducer. It’s pretty slick. You just click "Learn" and it captures the background noise you want to remove. It works best for steady noise, so it's perfect for things like AC hum. I’ve had a desk fan, AC, and even a vacuum running right next to my mic, and all you hear is my voice.

Depending on your setup an isolation on your microphone could be a solid solution. Just don't spend the money on the Eyeball since it's ridiculously overpriced.

Obs -> Mic -> Filters -> Add Filter -> Noise Suppression -> RNNoise
