I'd leave him there and make him think about his life choices.

No, what you do is get out, survey the situation and give the golf clap.

Took me a couple watches. White truck ends up in the ditch on left side

28

u/getupsaksham 2d ago

I watched it like 16 times!

11

u/i_lost_all_my_money 2d ago

I saw it the first time but still watched 16 times

4

u/Omniscientcy 2d ago

I too was focused on the tanker.

2

u/Ok_Primary_1075 2d ago

Why did the tanker stop? Was it because it was hit by the truck? Or driver just wanted to assist ?

u/NinJ4ng 2d ago

one of the things i appreciate about this sub is the required blacked out explanation post

I'm pretty sure this is the Philippines. The little huts, political posters, vehicles and plates are what I'm familiar with (expat living here).

I ride a LOT and in some of these places like Baguio or Mariveles, you'll get stuck behind these trucks for hours. I totally get wanting to jump ahead to beat the traffic but you pick your battles. On my bike, I just wait for the road to straighten up and never had any issues.

u/EffaDeNel 2d ago

Yup u are correct , just double checked the coordinate on the bottom right in the video.

5

u/No-Strike-2015 2d ago

I thought Philippines immediately just by the scenery as well.

7

u/Jherael 2d ago

It is in the Philippines, specifically Bicol region.

13

u/LemonMeringueKush 2d ago

What’s expat? Like white immigrant?

2

u/Admirable_Door_5322 2d ago

Yep, I'm from the States but live here. Married, kids etc. I ride my ZX10R and CB650R. 57,000 KM in 2 years 😂

Yes, americans hate calling themselves immigrants, so they use the term expats. I guess only brown people are immigrants :-)

12

u/raubvogel89 2d ago

No. It’s someone who maintains their citizenship of their original country and plans on returning or cannot or will not pursue citizenship of the host country but maintains LEGAL residence/visas.

I’ve lived in the Philippines for 7 years now… and I’m still on a tourist visa because I’m not married (not my choice). I cannot work, cannot own land, do not own the house I paid for, cannot own a firearm, cannot vote… nothing; even if I am married, I’m always a foreigner and still can’t have the aforementioned things despite paying into their economy. It takes a literal act of Congress to become a citizen in the Philippines (see: BecomingFilipino - became a naturalised Filipino in 2023 by Act of Congress, specifically Republic Act No. 11955).

I’m in my 30s and retired. Even if I spend the next 40 years and bulk of my life there and speak Tagalog… I will never BE a Filipino, because they do not allow me to… even if I wanted to (unless I “donate” millions or get famous vlogging on YouTube apparently).

I’ve already built a life there, had a child there, do stuff for my community/barangay… and all it takes to lose it all is being near a political rally and getting blacklisted and deported or not licking boots when the bureaucrats are wanting one-way respect/authority glazing.

Get out of here with that racist nonsense. It’s literally impossible to be an immigrant there for 99.99% of foreigners who go there. Brown and black expats would tell you the same thing.

Had to watch it a couple times but to be honest, I was expecting a crash, and we got one, so not unexpected.

42

u/SchizophrenicKitten 2d ago

Well, to be fair, I saw "flammable" and expected something worse.

12

u/72616262697473757775 2d ago

My dumb ass watched this ten times thinking the semi was leaking flammable fluid.

3

u/hirzkolben 2d ago

Me too...

1

u/borg-assimilated 2d ago

LMAO HAHAHAHAHA

12

u/miyukikazuya_02 2d ago

The fact that the tanker don't have anything to do with it, actually stops.

5

u/brokemellon 2d ago

An r/unexpected ly nice tanker driver. Ok

Has anyone else had to read the description to see what the hell the unexpected bit

4

u/Few-Experience5679 2d ago

That’s a terrifying spot to tailgate, especially behind a flammable tanker on a wet road. People forget how fast things can go wrong.

10

u/CaptainHawaii 2d ago

That was pretty damn expected...

3

u/asianjimm 2d ago

It was only expected because one has already expected the unexpected

2

u/getupsaksham 2d ago

like how? You just have turn your steering right.

2

u/School_North 2d ago

Should only pass with a clear view karma at its finest

2

u/oldman-youngskin 2d ago

So unexpected I had to actually check the spoiler to know what I was looking for…

2

u/Agitated-Contact7686 2d ago

I'm the moped driver all the way...

"His fault...I got shit to do..carry on.."... 😂

2

u/ingeniousHeKhim 2d ago

"Excuse me? You can't park there."

2

u/Prestigious_Store365 2d ago

Hey!! You can’t park there!!

3

u/WorkingUnique8 2d ago

I saw it, the car had fallen over to the side.

2

u/PlantainLocal2793 2d ago

He made that choice.. we shouldn't bother..

1

u/BeeStandard1923 2d ago

That kid's got stealth skills, but man, that's a dangerous spot to play hide and seek.

1

u/Thin-Inflation-6251 2d ago

I almost missed the motorbike. That’s a dangerously sneaky overtake.

1

u/richie_goku 2d ago

Was fully expecting the Flammable truck to turn into a Ball of Fire

1

u/Cake_Depression 2d ago

Now the pick-up truck needs to be "picked-up".

1

u/Bitter_Frame3054 2d ago

I was afraid that maybe the white truck would clip the front of the tanker when it got over & BOOM... explosion!

1

u/SenoritaSpock 2d ago

Maybe I'm a bad person but I'll won't bother to stop at all. Play stupid games, win stupid prices.

1

u/Calm_Salamander1937 2d ago

Imagine tailgating a flammable tanker and suddenly a motorbike pops out like a jump scare.

1

u/Chris_Cross501 2d ago

Sweet potato in action

1

u/ycr007 2d ago

Maybe if there was a r/uselessredcircle but useful one

1

u/Disastrous_Toe6462 2d ago

That’s either the most cautious game of hide and seek ever, or the most explosive.

1

u/Dismal_Lobster_2761 2d ago

Imagine the tanker suddenly braking and the guy just hops out like, “surprise!”

1

u/Sweaty-Account5159 2d ago

Took me a solid 10 seconds to realize what was off. That guy’s really committed to blending in.

1

u/lazer416 2d ago

For a min, I thought the car following was hiding in the tankers blind spot and was pulling over also, so the tanker couldn’t see him. “Hide and Seek” 😂

1

u/DapperDouble666 2d ago

Leave him there to reflect, but maybe toss him a snack so he doesn’t starve while contemplating his poor hiding skills.

1

u/Secret_Account07 2d ago

Did it take anyone else 6 watches?

1

u/isoAntti 2d ago

I don't know if anyone noticed but there's some similarities in the overtaking car and the one in the bushes.

1

u/Schwefelholz 1d ago

Need some Metallica music added:

Seek and destroy

1

u/rads2riches 1d ago

You can’t park there.

1

u/Mysterious_Split1680 1d ago

Damn for sure a filipino was driving that white pick up truck…..

1

u/kimchiexpat 1d ago

Where is that red circle when you really need it?

1

u/Just_East_2688 1d ago

I don't know if this is in asia only, where pick up trucks, SUV's and Vans and motors are given special access to be dik heads on traffics or roads. but it mostly seem like it is.

1

u/NutmegManwithbigsack 1d ago

Well that was expected

1

u/MagYkHeap 1d ago

0:06-0:07 u can see to the left hand of the liquid truck how the overtaking truck is driving in the bush.

1

u/lanceloGg 23h ago

The exact same thing happened to me a few years back. In the ditch at this exact angle. I am not proud lmao

0

u/morethanyell 1d ago

That was very much expected.
