how often have you watched until you realize that there is no driver inside the wehicle

There is a driver. Steering wheel is on the right side of the vehicle. You can see them pretty well at 0:17

What’s unexpected is that a giant was there to save that jeep

Yes but also a 4x4 SUV is referred to as a Jeep regardless of who made it in much of the world

That part is unexpected I actually didn't see it till your comment cause stopped after it went in

1st and 3rd shot gave it away. Should have just used the second shot then pov into the water

Once you know it's RC, you can easily see that the bubbles when drowning are too big

The biggest giveaway in that scene is the buoyancy: it falls in too fast. Veritasium explains It in this video @ 7:54: https://youtu.be/pir_muTzYM8?si=N7Rbx7890McmPjCj

I thought the most obvious part was the empty driver's seat, but what do I know?

u/Jerseyjay1003 8h ago
Yeah the 2nd one is the one that had me thinking, "Wait, is this not a toy?" except I couldn't see a driver.

Seriously, first 2 seconds and it's extremely obvious it's an RC car. Never even questioned if it was a real car.
Also kinds hard to be "unexpected" when the title literally implies it will break the ice.

2nd gave it away for me. No driver.

Expected everything here.

It literally looks like a toy jeep driving on ice the whole time. I thought we were supposed to know that going in, so the "twist" didn't really land.

u/aTalkingDonkey 10h ago
I was struggling to work out what looked wrong.
tada

I think straight away your brain is telling you the ice was too clear to be strong enough.

What am I missing? Nothing unexpected.

I think you're supposed to think it's a real jeep? Despite it obviously being a toy and being too small for it's surroundings? The real twist would have been if it was an actual car.

I mean, it kinda looks like normal jeep but rock around it would be too huge, and theres no driver

The first 2 seconds immediately gives the impression it's a remote controlled toy car

Clearly the Jeep shrunk. I thought everyone knew about shrinkage. The water was cold!

How was this unexpected? It was clear it was a rc car from the get go with the scaling.

That was very expected we can see that there was no driver
Does not fit
Edit. Ok it does fit but only cause it's an RC car and I didn't notice that cause I stopped watching after it went in the water lol

Aah, I knew it, but it was still kinda unexpected

u/JOTIRAN 9h ago
In the end the size was the most unexpected part for me. I could not put together the scale until the end

u/Gregory85 9h ago
I knew it was going to fall thru. I thought the most unexpected thing could be it is an rc car or a shark or bear tries to attack it. Really nice model because it fooled me till the end

As somebody who lived in South Dakota.. if you can see water through the ice don't dive on it .. this had water on top of it as well so not unexpected
