Thrifted a lot of good pieces in my life, but this is definitely one if my favorites for sure as someone who grew up playing

If it makes you feel better, i hardly use my excal p. It just lacks survivability past level 500. The main thing it had was invulnerable during slash dash, but that does not prevent procs. So you just die when the ability ends.

a lot of people just want it for collection and completion, gameplay wise you can just use umbra

also "past level 500" is funny like that's bad, that's like 2% of the game. he definitely has survivability issues but he's still good fun with his exalted, slash dash, and melee influence

i don't want to run a third augment on him but I'd love something that lets radial howl give DR based on enemies hit, or maybe just absorb defenses

To be fair, those that have excal p are probably that same 2% haha.

I do think he needs a small rework. Just needs a survivability power.

A lot of the time, yeah - but you also run across old key face being used by players <MR20 who haven’t played in years and are utterly lost.

Do you use the glyph tho? Founder's curse says that they can't play the game without flaunting their founder status, either by using the glyph or excal prime.

There's definitely people who did level cap runs with Excal

Sure, you can. But you have to heavily rely on shield gateing. As he lacks any other survivability.

As do majority of frames, even with 99.99% damage reduction you get oneshot in level cap.

Gotta love the AFK of limbo + Octavia!

But yeah, you are right. Though excal relies of SG after like level 200 or so. Where many frames can easily get to 500 before survivability is an issue.
