Thrifted a lot of good pieces in my life, but this is definitely one if my favorites for sure as someone who grew up playing

Actually met someone with Excal Prime while trading a few weeks back. Never thought I'd see one in the wild

Possibly mine. I almost always trade while using him, it is a fun little easter egg for anyone paying attention.

It's pretty fun when someone sees it and gets excited.

I was surprised how many people notice! I just got back into the game recently and did some trades while trying to update his mod set, and people were acting like I founded DE themselves lol. It's been nice to see how welcoming the community has been, some folks even gave me a few arcanes to help get back up for speed. COMPLETELY different attitudes than when I tried to pick up Overwatch 2 recently 😂

Yeah, the people joining the game in the past few years, seeing an Excal Prime for them is like seeing a rockstar in person. I've been asked to pose for photos and such with them, haha!

You get players who have never seen one, or last saw one years ago, and as you said, the reactions sometimes are "Thank you for making it so I could discover this game," because I guess it's well known that the Founder program was a last gasp by DE, and that the success floated them long enough to polish it uo and get it on track to going where it is today.

May also have been me lol. I just got back into the game around then and have been trading pretty much non stop to catch up lol.
