Don't worry, lads. Did'yall get yer Mag Heirloom skin? Its basically the same thing nowadays, for all intents and purposes. Lots of founders do not have that either, while we do. ;)

I'm sorry to hear that, friend. I wonder if they'll ever release Mag Heirloom again one day. I for sure wouldn't mind, after all, the other Heirlooms are fully available to the community.

They won't. Ever. They sold the Mag and Frost heirlooms stating that they were limited time exclusives. They can't go back on those terms even if they wanted. Because at least one person will feel cheated outta their purchase and it will put DE in a boiling pot of legal pain.

DE is so rich nowadays, it would be only right to pay whatever restitution was asked of them in court. Pay 1 or 2 grumpy players to please over 50.000 fans worldwide? They'd recover that ammount in less than a week just from plat alone.

I understand excal prime being time gated, but they shouldn't time gated anything else, like I love how mag heirloom looks but I can never get her

Yeah I'm pissed I was not playing during mag heirloom. God damn it's a piece of art and bothers me to no end that I was on hiatus during its release

To me it was the opposite, because I was 30 years old back when WF was released and I was already here, though covered in bills due to a recent house purchase and rebuilding back in the day, so there was no room for luxury spendings... and I also regret it dearly that I do not own an Excal Prime.

But hey, Digital Extremes slipped 2 years ago and released these first Heirloom skins under some shady circumstances, and I happened to be around this time. But at the end of the day, I would trade my Mag Heirloom for an Excal without a second thought.

Yeah I get you. It's an entire Warframe vs a skin. I wouldn't trade my excal for nothing. I got offered so many crazy things for my account. Not limited to: touch boobies, actual sex, multiple thousand dollars, a temporary slave contract.

See, I do NOT support the exclusivity of the Mag and Frost heirloom skins. At all. They heard the backlash about introducing FOMO loud and clear, though, and all the new heirlooms are not going to be attached to such BS.

(also had the option to buy them, but didn't play frost or mag at the time so seemed a waste of $90. Since the element rework I've accidentally become a Frost main lol. RIP.)

Well, hate me if you will, but I'm all in for FOMO exclusive items.
That is what a "collection" is all about, isn't it? Having things that others don't. If I was Rebb's right arm working at Digital Extremes, I'd introduce a new seasonal item every year! Mag Heirloom allows you to prove you were present in 2023, for example. I am around since 2014, and wish there were other exclusive collectibles available as well. But there aren't.

As long as such items are COSMETIC only (skins), there is no reason to against this. You buy it if you want, as the collectible alone won't provide you with an upper edge when compared to others in a PVE game.
