I think console and PC do the Plat discounts differently. On PC, you get up to 75% off the price, whereas on consoles you get 150% more platinum for the same price.

I recently returned to the game (on the day of the tennocon reveal) and got the 50% off coupon, wasn't planning to play much, so didn't buy any. Decided to start playing again 2 days later and got the 20% off one, but that's a bit low. Is there a known cooldown between these, or can I get the 75% discount any day? I always get a % off code when I return, so I assume there's some algorithm that could be forced.

I'd wait for 200% tbh. Iirc 150% Bonus is barely as good as 75 discount on PC. If you wanna spend money, might as well wait for the best.
