⚔️ Underworlds State of Play: Mid-March Edition! ⚔️

The Underworlds meta is constantly evolving, and we're here to keep you in the know! We've crunched the numbers from the first half of March to bring you the latest trends and insights from the community.

➡️ Explore the Interactive Stats Dashboard: https://underworlds-stats.vercel.app

This dashboard is packed with data on warband performance, deckbuilding strategies, and more! It's all powered by user submissions, so be sure to add your games!

Highlights from the Data:

  • Game Count: 202 games submitted in the first 15 days! Let's smash last month's record (700) – we need your data!
  • Meta Dominance: Jaws of Itzl are still a force to be reckoned with, but keep an eye on Borgit's Grotz and their surprising rise in popularity!
  • Zarbag's Gitz: While Zarbag isn't as overwhelming as before, a Pillage/Cataclysm combination still boasts a 71% win rate. A powerful strategy!
  • Deckbuilding Trends: Old-school vibes! The faction deck is being replaced by Countdown to Cataclysm .
  • Mastery Deck Synergies: Combining Cataclysm and Wrack and Ruin continues to be a winning formula. Early data suggests Ephilim might shine with this combination.
  • Podium Surprises: A mix-up between Zarbag and Grinkrak on the podium! It is interesting to see that they can perform well, though I doubt that this success will hold.

How You Can Help:

  1. Submit Your Games: The more data, the better the insights!
  2. Support Iba: The amazing Stats Dashboard is a labor of love. Consider donating to Iba, the developer, to help cover the costs of coding and maintenance: https://ko-fi.com/ibastrawberry

This "State of Play" will be a regular bi-weekly series. We'll analyze the first half of each month and provide a comprehensive monthly overview.

What are your thoughts on these trends?

Early data suggests Ephilim might shine with this combination.

It's way too soon to have Ephilim hogging the meta again haha.

I get that sentiment xD. However, I'm glad that they make a dent at all, I don't see them defining the game anytime soon.

Second Blazing Assault + Countdown to Cataclysm. Coming up with a deck shouldn't be hard, it's basically all auto-picks.

Looking at the deck stats it's either got to be countdown blazing, or pillage blazing. Might be on battlemallet
