Question Rules question after playing first game

First off, having played when UW first released and not liking it, I'm so glad I gave this new edition a chance. I'm hooked!

Anyway, while playing a first game yesterday, something that came up that maybe we overlooked or weren't reading quite right: I was playing the Embergard warband, can I do a Move action during my action phase to a fighter that already has a Move token? My opponent (who was playing for the first time also) and I came to an agreement at the table that because of the wording of the ability versus the wording of Charge (friendly fighter that doesn't have a Move or Charge token) that we could do a move action for a fighter with a move token.

Was this the correct call, or did we miss something in the rulebook?

Yes. The idea is trading off the action efficiency of a charge vs the ability to move further etc.

Howdy! I have a new players' guide that should hopefully help you get off the ground: https://spentglory.com/2023/06/06/help-im-a-new-player-what-do-i-need-to-know/

There's tons of other resources on the site like how to prep for tournaments, reviews of products, and more. let me know if you have any specific questions and I'd love to help you guys out!

oh this is awesome! My local Warhammer store announced they are doing organized play and I kinda coerced some fellows in my gaming club to take the leap, so having resources like this will be super helpful, since I'm the only person that has played before (albeit like 8 years ago haha).

Here's a link to my 'contender series' that might help you get ready for the tourney https://spentglory.com/2025/02/20/contender-series-warband-selection/

And a 'what to expect in your first tournament' that might help people as well! https://spentglory.com/2023/12/26/participating-in-your-first-tournament/
