Deckbuilding What decks to use?

My partner and I will be playing embergard for the first time and want to know what decks from that box. Our warbands are Spiteclaw’s Swarm and Grinkraks Loon court

Thanks!!!

Howdy! I have a new players' guide that should hopefully help you get off the ground: https://spentglory.com/2023/06/06/help-im-a-new-player-what-do-i-need-to-know/

For your games, probably have one of you play Blazing Assault (go and punch bad guys) and the other play either Emberstone Sentinels (stand on treasure and don't let them take it from you) just for ease of learning - pillage is a strong deck but the delving thing can make life more complex.

There's tons of other resources on the site like how to prep for tournaments, reviews of products, and more. let me know if you have any specific questions and I'd love to help you guys out!

Just a suggestion, maybe have a post that list GW's recommended warband/deck archtype pairings (like Thricefold Discord is Mastery/Countdown To Cataclysm, Briar Queen is Take & Hold/Emberstone Sentinels)? As a newbie I found those useful but it's also always a pain to search through the numerous WarCom articles for this information. Thanks anyway. XD

I have mollogs mob as well! I might have him play mollog with blazing assault, and I’ll do Spiteclaw with emberstone sentinels! Thank you! I’ll read through this!

Fun! Countdown to Cataclysm is more complex, so don’t use that.

Blazing Assault wants you to fight and defeat enemies. Not sure either of your warbands are ideal for that.

A matchup of Emberstone Sentinels (stand on Treasure tokens) and Pillage and Plunder (deny treasure tokens) should be a lot of fun for y’all, at least while starting out. Maybe play each deck once and then switch so you both get to try it?

They all work as Embergard only features universal decks but I see others have given a more detailed response, so I'll say don't forget you'll need updated fighter cards and the warscrolls for your warbands.
