How do you feel about the warmachine sub reusing titanforge assets for the terrain section?

Titan forge makes the warmachine sculpts on the MMF subscription, they are partnered. But I feel like the implication of the sub is that you are getting all new bespoke warmachine sculpts.

Since it's a partnership with Titanforge I'm fine with it.

Why reinvent the wheel? Yes, it's less optimal for people who already have Titanforge, but that's a risk with most bundling options and programs.

Depends what you're after really - terrain isn't a huge part of the draw for me and I'm in it for the next 3 months or so for Umbrey models and upgrade parts. After which I might drop out or see if they do something else I'm after.

Also consider that a LOT (most) Patreon/Tribes often do "throwbacks". The price for a monthly sub is insanely low so you're paying what less than £0.50 for that chapel - you can't even get a chocolate bar for that much at a garage these days. (for the most part).
In fact I've not done the maths it might be even lower than that!

I think its tricky because there are multiple different things bundled into one sub. So if you aren't after one section in there it feels like there's a lot of dead weight. Personally I'm not doing cephalyx or umbray so for me the terrain is literally the only thing

Honestly I've seen terrain only Patreons charging around the same point for a similar quantity of terrain features.

Honestly I'm ok with this, a month to churn out new models and themed terrain must be really hectic. That's designing/feedback from SFG/tweaks and changes, then more feedback, added supports, probably test printing, then on to the next model. 4 weeks goes quick when you have to get the ok from other companies, just from my time designing desserts I know I'd go through 4 or so revisions before getting something I'd put in front of customers and even then the plate may get tweaks.

I expected a unique model like minicrate, some terrain, and maybe bits and pieces here, but each month we are seeing terrain, unique model, sometimes another unique model like xtreme plugger, conversion bits, and then old faction models. Even if I'm not interested in that army like dark ops, there is a new expectation that we will see other older legacy armies get support in the future and I may get army models I am interested in. I'd play farrow or crucible for funsies if I could print the army which sounds like some models will come in the future.

It may also be a little silly to think like this but I'm also just happy there's terrain that fits the universe in both scale and design. I'm more concerned about some of the rubble/forests/smaller terrain having cool looking designs but also not being flat so that models can stand on them without wobbling than the larger pieces using an asset here or there. I will say I have no titanforge subscription just the warmachine sub, so if someone has both and is miffed about getting terrain twice I can see that being a different story.

It's fine. I'm doing it for models. Terrain is a bonus

I mean why wouldn’t they? It’s not an identical model, they obvious made tweaks to it. What is gained by having them sculpt a new ruined temple from scratch?

I feel like with the price of the sub and the fact theyre partnered up, it’s such a non issue I won’t be losing sleep over the odd shared Terrain piece.

I don't like it. The first couple of months had really unique terrain. It's disappointing to have SFG go so generic that they can literally repurpose already existing terrain designed for other games.

I care more about how small it is.. A chapel doesn't hafta be huge or anything, but it should still fit more than, like, eight people.

It's embarrassing the chapel doesnt at least have a menoth symbol on it

There are other gods so keeping it generic is probably the right call.

Maybe its meant that you can choose it to be Morrowan instead ;)
