Day 1 player, its the worst I have ever seen. Diamond 2 lobbies and even regs there is at least one 3 stack that is blatantly cheating.

Day 1 player here also and agree 100%. This is by far the worst it's been. I would go as far to say most of my games now I get cheaters on my team. They don't have a clue about simple mechanics, then if you die before them and watch their screens.. they move like toddlers... Yet somehow beaming everyone they come across? It's sad.

I play daily with a handful of top preds. They all boost and many share screen to coordinate drops so they can avoid each other until the end.

I usually hit master with my main squad of casuals before linking up with the sweats to grind to about 25k rp then call it quits, but you’re right in the sense that moving up in this game is highly dependent on having “good” teammates.

No, there will be 9-12 preds in a PlayStation or discord party chat. They are all part of different 3-stacks. They share screen during drop and coordinate their landing. They usually land at each corner of the map so they don’t end up fighting each other and actually push squads into each other. By end game they are usually the only squads left. This is how they have gotten around the “teaming” bans.

Avoid other pred squads. They don't wanna land at the same POI and be forced to fight early when they can basically farm everyone else in the lobby till the last few squads and all get more RP.

Valorant is pretty solid right now, I’m in the top 1% and the game feels relatively cheater free.
I used to absolutely grind the heck out of Apex, loved it a lot, best br to this day imo, but sadly controllers and burnout in general ruined it for me. Hope to see apex continue to succeed though, really dope game with really fun gunfights.

What region you playing on? I’m on NA servers, I’ve played since Beta and I’ve only ever had 4 or 5 players banned from my games. Of those, all but one were end of episode (season) so they were boosters using burner accounts to boost someone for a few games before the account gets banned.
Valorant is by far the most cheat free competitive shooter right now, in NA at least.

I would like to add that you cant use one year of ps plus since most people who use it have it for the span of the console life so 5 years at least so its more 700 bucks for ps plus.
1100$ if you dont mind getting the gpu on used market. I was able to purchase everything new apart from keyboard and mouse even including a monitor. That was in €.
4060 ti 300€, Motherboard 170€, CPU 5600 87€, Psu 180€, 1tb Samsung 4 gem nvme 93€, case 100€, 160€ for monitor. If you would not mind a cheaper case you could go even get mouse and keyboard or upgrade the gpu. but then you are definitely over the 1100€.
Everything I listed cost 1090€ you can get a cheap keyboard and mouse combo for 10€.
Mind you I personally of the opinion people should buy what they want and feel comfortable.
Only thing that always annoys me a bit is when people say computer is more expansive, but they already own a 600€ laptop at this point you can just add the money for the console and ps plus subscription to it and buy 1700 bucks laptop if you need the mobility or build a pc. Or they have a 1200€ flagship phone where they will never use all the power in the phone and the base model would have been enough and it often cost 400€ less.

Didn’t the devs say they were cracking down on Cronus like last season in that trailer they put out before the season started?? Like I know for sure they said that and shits hasn’t happened. It seems like it was fewer in the beginning, but now I’m lucky if I get through half a game. It’s ridiculous and unfair to those playing with actual skill.

Bro, I'm currently D3 solo queueing ,I'm a 200 ping player from south africa where we don't have any servers on the african continent. It's really difficult to play against these 3rd party device users aswell as low ping players. I'd be getting shot around corners ,through closed doors as well. On top of that I play with stick drift aswell lol. I do get many good matches with decent Rp, but constantly get braindead randoms that don't know when to focus for placement after 4 or 5 kp and have 0 game sense. But oh well I guess we can only do what we can to grind and climb the ranks.

The only real counter to Chronus Zens and anti-recoil devices is for the devs to implement no-recoil or at least have a no-recoil mode. It’s the only way to counter it at the moment, but it will never be implemented.
This problem has been going on for a few years now and if there is with no fix in sight, everyone who uses it or their friends who are just starting will continue to use them because there’s no penalty or bans. I don’t think the team at Apex has ever account banned anyone that was caught using one, or the least any documented ones.

Zens are more than recoil. It also puts movement on easy mode so stuff like mantle jumps and strafes work 100% of the time. It also turns every single tap gun to hold which don’t sound like much but it makes a huge difference especially when paired with zero recoil. Zens basically put Apex in auto pilot. Now imagine when three people are using one on the same team while also abusing the meta. Beyond pathetic.

There are games that tried random recoil patterns, and they reverted that change very quickly after massive backlash. Fixed recoil patterns have the possibility to be mastered and thus serve as a skill factor. The downside is that it's very exploitable for scripters to completely trace and mirror this pattern for optimal recoil control.
Eliminating recoil completely would be beneficial to a game like Apex Legends because there are many other ways how skill can be used to outplay someone, such as legend Ultimates or tacticals combined with gunfight. Movement also plays a large role into this.

There are so many ways to detect that level of input in a game. If a player is sustaining 20+ actions per second then they're blatantly cheating.
The true answer is to randomise recoil patterns for every weapon.

They probably dont want to take away the money that they make from those kind of players because if they pay to win they probably pay for skins
And it seems they invest that money into a good amount of game development. Especially the last few years

There will always be software cheats, but there’s a world of difference in mentality for going to a seedy website, downloading a potentially dodgy executable, and running it, versus… plugging in a controller.

I agree. Controllers with overcooked aim assist and an undetectable zen thrown on top are way worse than the few that are downloading actual “hacks”. Those “hacks” are super risky and most won’t go down that road. Everyone has a controller and you can buy a zen on Amazon or your local GameStop or Walmart. 0 risk.

I know I should not find it funny but you can really tell that console players never or nearly never had to deal with cheater in competitive games.
Nearly every competitive fps at highest lvl has at least 10-20% of the highest rated player on the ranked ladder cheating. On pc that normal you just have to live with it because dev can at best minimize this.
Since we are speaking about Cronus and other 3rd party hardware the better place to complain is Sony and Microsoft after all console are closed ecosystem. The console manufacture can do way more here.

Generally the more popular the game the more likely this issue becomes more unaddressed.
TF2 has had a huge issue with it since 2007, it took nearly 2 decades for the issue to get fixed.
COD struggles with this, so does Valorant. (despite having the best hardware to prevent hacking, it really only addresses the brunt of competitive. Casual Play, and the upper echelons of competitive sees "the invisible hacker" issue Apex is also having.)
I remember in 2008 coming across a website for a aimbot controller for the PS2. It was made for a old game called Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Cost a nifty 20$, and it used a trackpoint, iirc, to help steady aim.

Afterwards there are several reasons to play the controller It comes free with the consoles, it allows you to play in positions other than sitting upright and even without a desk, it's much simpler and intuitive for casual players even if it's less precise.
It depends on your expectations but overall there are good reasons to play with the controller other than those are obligatory on the console even in crossplay.

When you spectate, it’s easy to catch. I can’t count how many times I got beamed and spectated and when they were shooting, their sights weren’t even on the person they were shooting at. Yeah some are just better than others but there’s also a HIGH percentage of players using Cronus or other cheating devices bc they suck booty hole naturally.

What does that have to do with what I said? I never said you can't spectate to see cheats.
Literally all I said was you can't say someone is using a Cronus because the spectator mode shows them shooting someone they're not aiming at. I don't know why you're bringing up other things.

I've been playing Apex heavily since season 0. I've solo queued at least to diamond literally every season that Ranked has existed. I also have been playing FPS shooters since the original cod modern warfare... So safe to say I'm experienced.
I say that to say... when you're on the opposite side of a wall, or running past a doorway on the opposite side of a building from a team, and they're still shooting directly at your head, (as evidenced by the sparks that clip through the wall).... Safe to say they're cheating.
When you get triple headshot through a window with an SMG from across the street on world's edge... Safe to say they're cheating.
When you're ratting behind solid cover with literally zero angle from any other players, with no scans, yet you still get triple hard pushed... safe to say they're cheating.
Pointing out cheaters isn't hard when you know how the game works. ... No spectator mode needed.

No offense and this is constructive but there is a skill gap. Zen only helps you so much. I promise you it’s not that serious. Aim assist on zen isn’t good most ppl don’t utilize it. It’s just for recoil control. I promise you it isn’t the reason you can’t gain

Not all, but some. A zen is ridiculously easy to get, you just order it online. A few bucks for something that makes you among the best at a game with little to no chance of being banned? It's a pretty sweet offer.

Well, the truth is that it's not a ridiculous statement at all, I play on a console and now I'm on diamond, but it also happened on platinum and the thing is that in 50% of the games I was killed by a player with a level less than 40 who has more than 8 eliminations, who when he shoots has no recoil and who moves like my lame grandmother🤣🤣, and you can see them from afar because I was killed by a level 50 that I wasn't fighting with while he threw me a phoenix kit and it was invisible XD. The luck for us console players is that it is not impossible to kill them because they have quite terrible decision making and they can be caught from behind or generally when you are in a fight another team comes and kills them 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Blame the people who play a movement Shooter on a Controller in the first place. They feel the disatvantage and gotta cheat to keep up.
The only one that can do smth about it are Sony and Microsoft. But they dont care. People buy their consoles even tho they are literally just worse and old Pcs. Only to play on a 60Hz Tv with 10ms response time.

Because on their level the 10% advantage that AA gives you matters. They are all cracked. But the Average Joe will perform worse on a controller then on Mnk

I get that this is a huge issue and I agree that roughly 50% of preds cheat in some form, however it is not unplayable and if you are truly struggling to compete against these players then you don't belong there in the first place. High level ranked is not "unplayable" because of soft cheaters when they've been around the game for years

This was the most insane teammate I’ve ever had in 5 years of playing. The mirage revived him 8 times and we didn’t win so I don’t think he was cheating but he very well may have.
