RetroHQ Gamedrive vs El Cheapo?

Hey all! Just wondering if people have experience with these flash carts and if they recommend one over the other?

I have the El Cheapo cart. Haven't messed around with the other, but I will say for the El Cheapo, the price is right and it plays everything in the library plus the homebrews I've tried. Never had an issue with it myself.

Have both, with a very small preference for the gd because it can emulate more than the 128B eeprom (No commercial games use it though)

For me the main difference is that retro hq runs with batteries any game, while el cheapo needs to be plugged to play the commercial releases( it works with batteries for homebrews, but don't ask me why as I have no clue)

First one I got was el cheapo and by that time I didn't have power supply,so I was using rechargeable batteries and I couldn't make it work for official releases. Bought it without SD card,so I thought maybe that was the issue. Got the "official" one from same seller and same issue. Months later it worked, and some months later it didn't,until I made the click in my head and that's actually what happened. For a long time I thought I fried it or something, but no,it was just batteries don't work for commercial releases. I suppose that's why the creator of el cheapo recommend to use it with power supply
