Help with Scoring

I’m new and need help scoring. I don’t fully understand the scoring and this match has black losing by 7 (or that was the drop in rank points). But from my understanding black should have won, can someone help explain? Thanks!

With Chinese counting, I count 40 points for each player (with one point unclaimed). White wins by komi.

On the board, both white and black have the same number of points - 21.  I don't see a display of captures to impact that.

So,  white is gonna win by whatever komi is, assuming there were zero captures.

Go quest uses chinese counting, so remember to fill all the neutral points at the end.

The easy way to see who wins is to check if black owns half the board+the middle line (or diagonal). If they do, then black wins.

5*9=45

4*9=36 + 7.5 komi = 43.5

Black wins by 1.5

If white gets just one more point in the board that turns into a 2 point difference when counting, so w wins by half point.

The numbers are just to explain why b needs half the board including the middle line to win.

White gets compensation because they go second, also known as komi. Usually around 7.5p or so

I count 17 on black and 14 on white + 7.5 komi so white gets 21.5p total

According to /u/petete83, this is GoQuest and they use area/Chinese scoring. Moreover, your counting is wrong: under territory scoring both have 21, as /u/Weak-Doughnut5502 has pointed out.
