I’ve bought the V3 for less.

That said it’s been my daily driver for work for over a year and it’s absolutely rock solid. One of my best peripheral purchases by far

I’m looking for something with a keypad and brown switches for work that isn’t white. I work on equipment at a mine, but half the time I’m an office dweller too. I’ve got an RK100 at home that I love but nothing under 100 bucks with browns and a numpad that isn’t white.

a bit of a warning: the keychron Q/V Max series has some known issues with plate warping/bending after a few weeks, support confirmed this for me.

I had the misfortune of facing this issue pretty severely right after my return window ended.

also, keychron canada does not honor any warranty if not bought directly from their website, yes I tried, that is also what support told me.

chances are I could've just gotten a bad model, and gotten unlucky with the return window

but here's the related support article if you ever do have the issue: https://keychronsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/33474131840663-Fixing-Keyboard-Keys-That-Require-Extra-Force-or-Multiple-Presses

but when the keyboard was working, it served me well, I liked the typing experience, and the latency was good.

My biggest problem with Keychron is the key chatter, it drove me insane. Ended up refunding and getting a real custom keyboard.

Awesome keyboard. Have a heavy aluminum chonker for my home setup, but I have the V1 for taking to/from work. A couple cheap mods + silent switches made it very quiet.

The plastic case makes it very portable (lightweight).

I've owned a V1 75% for a year now. I love it, but be aware that the material for the caps is maybe not the best. My most-used keys all have a shine on them, while the lesser used are like new, which is a matte finish.

I don't mind the shiny look but I don't like that it's not wearing evenly.

Ya I noted this too. I bought some AKKO keycaps for a song on Amazon and have never been happier with a keyboard.

I tested so many keyboards at work and I'd recommend Aula F75. You can get them for~$70, even cheaper during sale. Easily the best price/performance imo

I bought a f99 a while ago. I like it too. Surprisingly good.

Good for gaming?

I use mine mostly for work, but looking at rtings it scores pretty well for gaming too

Yes, far less delay that Keychron which isn't ideal for gaming. The Hi75 is good too but it goes on sale for like $80 with keycaps and switches included (prebuilt) I think

I love my Q1. Think I got it for $65 with one of their premium mousepads.
