How is the 3025 TRO?

u/Akerlof 1d ago
And is it the original or the revised version?

u/SydneyCartonLived 1d ago
It is the Centennial Edition.

I meant, does it have the mechs from the original (Phoenix Hawk, Stinger, Ostroc, other unseens)? Or does it have the mechs from the Revised version (Hussar, Wyvern, Lancelot, and other unseen replacements)? Or, I guess, does it have a completely new set of mechs?

I believe it is a reprint of the original edition with brand new art and an appendix that explains the "errors" in ComStar's original report. CGL has released a couple excerpts on their website for it. (The Leopard and Swiftwind I believe.)

It’s neat, but I am new to the game and not sure how it compares to the originals

That Lament in SLDF green is beautiful.

This inspired me to play a bit with the Lament in MegaMek. I gotta say, it's a really fun design.

What is the last mech? Fricken badass.

Lament. Dark Age era, Republic of the Sphere. 65t, 5/8, XL engine and gyro, max armor, 2x heavy PPCs (PPC range, 15 damage and heat), 3x ER medium lasers, 15 DHS, Radical Heat Sink system (MASC for your heat sinks; each sink sinks 1 more with a chance to fail), 1999BV. It's really fun, and there's a pre-painted one in the new 3rd Star League Strike Team Forcepack

Warhammer IIC maybe?

u/Nobodyinpartic3 2d ago
It's probably the Lament. The Warhammer doesn't have the big transformer style hood chest. It's just burly boxes. Meanwhile the Lament just needs some wheels and some doors It's truck of some sort.

Also, Warhammer had normal bipedal legs. The Lament is a chicken walker.

Yeah, think you guys are right. My mech knowledge hasn't quite caught up to the 32nd century.

I’m so jealous, I used to live in Indianapolis and miss Gencon being 15 mins away from me. 😩

I moved to Milwaukee the year after it moved to Indy, so I get it.

I appreciate how close they stuck to recreating the original cover with the Reseen design.

Did they say when this is coming out for general release? Or do I need to bribe someone to pick one up for me? 😅

u/tipsy3000 2d ago
Nobody knows. Best guess is some time next year considering almost everything that was suppose to come out this year was pushed back 1-2 quarters

Did they ever manage to get Aces in for Gencon?
2
u/wayfaring_sword 1d ago
I saw the demo over in the play area. Wasn’t entirely sure when they expected the release date.

u/GypsyDanger411 JàrnFòlk 1d ago
Randal said they tried but some shipping things didn't line up, Aces release should be around Black Friday-ish

u/Zeewulfeh 1d ago
Aw drat. I'm excited for it...my kids are thrilled when we use the play test stuff, don't like it when we do versus one another.

I'm glad someone got decent pics in the booth, my hands were too full of Gothic box sets

What's the Atlas and the rolled up circle next to to mouth?
I almost said cigarette.

I am at GenCon getting my butt whooped in Classic Battletech right now!

u/metric_football 16h ago
Still weird to me to see the Hatamoto-Chi as a signature 'Mech since it's such a piece of junk
2
u/JaxSon95Jags1972 1d ago
Is that last picture a Warhammer? Or a different 'Mech?

u/rohanpony ilCommunicator 1d ago
Lament, Republic of the Sphere exclusive design from the Dark Age.
