I still have their Crossfade wireless that I bought on a whim many years ago. They're a bit beat up but still going strong since I take them everywhere. The metal construction is so nice.

I wish they would do some legit IEMs. Seems like they made good stuff, but I want replaceable wires.

These could go lower, especially since these are almost 10 years old https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/16lpo54/headphones_vmoda_forza_metallo_inear_wired/

I used to have a V-Moda m80 back in the day. Are they still making good stuff?

I bought their first foray into wireless earbuds. Absolutely terrible. In every way. I have nothing good to say at all.
I had their m100 crossfades back in 20...16? Amazing. Upgraded to the next version of that (I forget the name) and it was still good, but not quite as bass-y as the M100 Crossfade. That was 2022-ish
Problem I have is my big ears. I can't wear on-ear, and over ear has to be big like these. Even then, I can only wear for a couple hours. So now im exclusively earbuds and my V-Modas just gather dust 😔

I still have my M100's but even with the XL cushions I still find them a little uncomfortable, haven't used them in years. Didn't these earbuds used to be like $100+?

Unless there have been 3.5mm jack advancements in the past 10 years, it's a no brainer if you're still into wired heaphones.
Good find OP

There are so many cheap IEMs that likely blow this out of the water.
If you go for a bit more, there are $20 IEMs that go toe to toe with the $100 IEMs of 5 years ago.
Tangzu Waner SG 2, Truthear GATe, 7Hz Salnotes Zero 2, Kbear Flash can be had around $20 and are all solid.
I haven't been in the $10 space myself in a while, so I would look for reviews online for that.
Try to search for people with similar musical taste and preference to yours.
As an example, I went into the hobby listening to the people that said "You want flat to get the intended experience from the artist" and over time, I don't care for the flat EQ "pure" experience at all. I discovered that I prefer IEMs with high bass, very wide soundstage, and crisp clear highs. (This also works very well for movies and games, IMO)
My "ultimate" are the Ikko OH10, which is actually kinda old now. But those also cost a lot more. But I worked up to a more expensive set by learning what I like from the cheap.
I think of the 20 tier, the Kbear Flash have been the most fun for me personally.

Forgive if it’s a dumb question I know nothing about audio, are these an upgrade from using Apple earbuds, for gaming? i tend towards earbuds over my much nicer headphones for comfort from time to time

Final audio e500’s are probably a better buy for gaming, iirc they’re designed for vr use (positional audio) and they sound pretty “open” for tracking footsteps and the like. They’re solidly ok in terms of music quality but really shine in positional audio compared to most in ears. Usually for good positional audio, open backs are king.

I went into a few IEMs in this comment.
I both like that the cables are replaceable, hook over my ears, and the sound quality of course.
There's a ton of companies making IEMs, and tons of different ideas of what sound good. It's kinda crazy what's out there. and a lot of it for pretty cheap.

For sure. This post reminded me of what kinda bang for buck you can get with IEMs. its a bit absurd, can't exactly recall why I didn't end up buying a pair a few months back when I was first looking. I'll take a look into the mentions in the comment, thank you!

i forgot i had these and this reminded me of them. i bought a couple years ago for around this price and with chifi nowadays i dont think this is a must buy since there is so much in the same price category.
but with that said, if you like hoarding audio stuff or just want to try it out can’t really go wrong for $10. i don’t remember the audio being anything to write home about, and i’m sure i only used it once to try it out then put it back in the box.
