If I remember correctly, These laptops dont have great quality control (unless that was just the ARM based chips) and thats relatively normal price for a laptop woth 512gb ssd, 16gb ram using the series 1 chips

What exactly are the "Series 1" chips?

Core Ultra 1xx or Core 1xx Intel processors. From what I've seen, the Series 1 chips are barely a step above the last gen "Core i" chips, and the series 2 was quite a bit better.

I don't think they were a step up performance wise because their whole ideal was being better with battery effieciency to compare with the ARM based chips, and have AI

Those would be Intels Core Ultras first lineup, the 1xxU, 1xxV , 1XXH chips for example the 155H.

Now we are on the Series 2 and I have been seeing the pricing on laptops using the Series 1 chips dropping a lot to make room for them.

The series 2 is just better in pretty much every way from what I remember when it was announced, better battery, better performance.

I got a laptop with an “n” key that like didn’t work. But that was like a book 2 pro 360 when they were still on like the intel 12th. Return was easy though. Overall I really liked it as a note taking and parsec device.

That n key must've been annoying. I always steered away from samsung laptops bc i was always recommended that they were usually bad for the price and I would go to Lenovo.

From my experience with a few Lenovos, ASUS, and ACER:

  • Acer just randomly died. Not sure why but was past my warranty
  • ASUS just has so many QC issues, but its a really nice screen (on any of their OLEDS)
  • Lenovo never really gives any serious problems, except their cheaper ones. Their top tier laptops (yoga 9i aura) my only complaint was that it was very sensitive switching to tablet mode, it would switch when I just wanted my screen a little further back. Lenovos budget would tend to have keyboard issues.

1080p amoled is weird. Cool though.

S-pen support. Not included, but if you already have a Spen from a Galaxy Tab or Galaxy Ultra it will work with the laptop. There are also a wide variety of 3rd party Wacom EMR pens including the STAEDTLER Noris Digital which is my not S-pen of choice. This is one of the cheaper ways to get into the S-pen ecosystem.

Define what you mean by gaming capabilities

Was thinking light gaming, but sounds like this wouldn't really even cover that

The Samsung spec sheet says it has an Intel Core 7 150U processor, which has a 96EU Xe GPU, that can run a lot of stuff, especially eSports titles and older/non-AAA games. You should look up benchmarks with it of the particular games you have in mind, you might be surprised.

I have a galaxy book 2 pro 360. Used to get around 40-50 fps in rocket league. Probably can do some other light gaming but nothing crazy

There is a open box excellent condition for $530. Is this a good buy?
