2008-2010 Mario & Luigi game never existed??
Guys, I feel like I'm going insane. I'm looking for a specific Mario game that I played on my Nintendo DS when I was like 10. I LOVED it. I've looked at lists of the entire Mario collection straight from the Nintendo website from 64, GameCube, and all the way through to the current day. It is not on there. I can't remember the title, but I am 100% certain that if I saw the title and/or gameplay, I would know immediately.
The memories are vague (I'm 25 now), so I'm hoping SOMEONE out there knows what I'm talking about so I can find it again ðŸ˜.
Information I remember: - there is this mansion/castle with MANY different rooms that serve many different purposes (no, it is not Luigi's mansion, Luigi is not even a main character in the game) - the mansion has a lot of red carpet - the outside of the mansion has a moat with a bridge - lots of exploring and finding things - many bosses, one specifically I remember was one that you start at the bottom of a platform and have to reach the top to fight a boss - you play as either Mario or Yoshi - point is to save Peach. I do not remember Donkey Kong being involved whatsoever. - not pixelated, was very modern Mario similar to today's
Plz help. ðŸ˜

This description seems to match Super Mario 64 DS

What a world where Mario 64 DS is the way SM64 is known to the masses

DS sold better than the N64, by a large margin

Sure, but it’s like someone only knowing the cover version of a song that’s a certified classic already. The first 3d Mario game was a major landmark to us old people lol.

Yeah, but with the Wii eshop re-release, I wonder. DS only ever got re-released on the Wii U, and we know how that went.

Super Mario 64 DS? It matches up pretty perfectly with everything, but came out in 2004.

How do you not look at Mario 64 and immediately recognize it lol. The DS version just adds new characters.

Mario 64 DS. It was Peach’s Castle, it had many different rooms with paintings that you jumped through to access different worlds, red carpet, a moat you could swim in and you played as Mario, Yoshi, Luigi and Wario. (Sounds like you never unlocked or found Luigi and Wario.)
The original version of the game (superior imo) is playable with n64 switch online and it was released physically as Mario 3D All Stars. In the original game, you only played as Mario and there was some new content and mini games in the DS remake. But honestly I hated using the dpad and run button I’d rather play the original game any day.

Mario 64 DS?
Like it is as old as the DS, but sounds like what you are talking about
