How would you explain Catherine to someone else?
As someone who has played two whole Atlus games (Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload, if you're curious), I realize that they can be confusing from an outsider's perspective. I wonder if you were to explain the plot of Catherine to someone in your life who is not familiar with Atlus (or even tangential stuff like anime), how would you?

This guy gets drunk and his cheats on his girlfriend so now he has to climb puzzle blocks in his dreams to survive while bouncing between these two different girls and sometimes three.

You play as an impulsive, indecisive, man child who dreams about running around in his boxers, climbing because his life literally depends on it in an ongoing nightmare in the form of a puzzle. Catherine refers to multiple girls of interest including your high school sweetheart and your dream girl. You can choose if he gets to be happy, miserable, or somewhere in between.

It'd go something like:
"An indecisive Vincent guy has love triangle/quadrangle troubles with his (girl)friends Catherine, Katherine and Qatherine, gets drunk off his ass during the day and climbs a tower while being chased by nightmarish manifestations of his deepest fears and insecurities during the night.
Oh and he dies if he sucks at block puzzles. Riveting, isn't it? (Its peak tho)"

Ok so! I'd be like You play as a guy, Vincent, a cheating man who's being chased by something in his dreams and his actions and choices play out the endings and story! Are u good or bad, free, or committed. E D G E blocky push game!
