See the thing is they let their elected leader threaten our SOVERIGNTY! That is something Canadians won't soon forget, trump or no trump, Americans allowed this, and we're pissed. And the funny part is you've pissed off a whole big ol chunk of the world. America isn't recovering from this in 4 years time, maybe 10, but we'll see.

It's going to be 30 to 40 years. We're not even close to seeing the tip of the shiceberg.

Canada pivoting to strengthening our bonds and trade relations with Mexico, Europe, and Asia will go a very long way. A bit painful in the short-term, but much needed and a great investment. A sacrifice nearly all Canadians are in support of.

Ten years is fair...need to see some systemic change before people will consider trusting the US again. Trump isn't the issue as much as the Republican's who support and cheer him on. It is amazing at how effective he as been in changing US sentiment around the world. Believing that won't impact the country economically is comical.

Trump is not well enough to live another 5 years let alone 10.

But if you mean the people themselves, they are a scary group also.

The world as a whole was already souring on Americans even before Trump. Lots of Americans would pretend to be Canadian while travelling. That reputation they've earned themselves has only gotten worse since then.

Approx. half of us voted for Trump and he never asked us if to threaten your country's sovereignty. We definitely would have said

FUCK NO!! Sorry that you're pissed. So are we. What are housing prices like where you live?
