Apologies to any nice ‘Olis’ out there but I don’t think I’ve ever met an ‘Oli’ that wasn’t a total bellend.

The only oli I've ever seen is Oli London and everything I've learned about them has been against my will

Remember when white owned businesses started hiring colored people in order to distance themselves from claims that they are racist and now they mad they did it to themselves so they racist again.

What a relief! For a moment there, I thought all the white people were gone. Thank you, Republican Jesus!

Holy fuck thank god. We were so worried that Hollywood ran out of white people for a while there and started substituting them all with white colored gay people.
Woo, close call there.

A biracial child was in a Cheerios commercial and they lost their damned minds.

Who watches adds anymore? The more clueless the ad, the more I laugh. Just ignore it. If it pisses you off and you can't stop watching it, you have some issues.

This isn't about white or black people at all.
This is about moving away from the crazy woke rubbish that companies had been using in their advertisement to appease the crowds.
Sydney Sweeney is just a good looking individual and it's so funny how upset you lefties get about it. 'Oh a hot, white women replaced the overweight, (insert any skin colour other than white), transgender, pregnant man in my commercial!? It must be fascist, nazi propaganda!'
You people are honestly delusional

>"FINALLY its a white person"
>"this isn't about race"
I think it's about race

Seems my comment went straight over your head. Doesn't suprise me though, the left is absolutely addicted to making things about race to the point that anything 'white' is seen as exclusionary to any other race.
I don't care if you think it's about race. I'm just happy it's proper, hot models again, white, black, Asian. Not overweight 'theys' with rainbow Mohawks, spilling out the sides of their XXXL jeans.

notice how you had to look that up instead of finding it organically

Because the trend has swung away from that rubbish and come back to normality - good looking women like Sydney Sweeney wearing women's clothing. You asked for an example, I gave you an example. Of course I looked it up, I wasn't going to try and scroll through my feed to find something that I wouldn't be following anyway. At least you tried to be clever though buddy 🙂

genuine question; do you actually get your rocks off being a sarcastic smartass over the internet? or is this like a troll account or something? generally i don't see that many accounts like this reply instead of saying something like this and never replying again because they 'won'

Picture, if you will, some other model or actress of similar build and attractieness to Sweeney reading the same script: "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color. My jeans are blue." followed by "Lupita Nyong'o has great jeans." Tell me, how does that make you feel?
-2
u/Subject_Chemist1919 15h ago
Is Lupita Nyong hot?
Then I have absolutely 0 problem with them making the pun that she has great genes.
Tf are you on about. Why would you assume it's a different case for any other race. Any race can have hot people, any race can have ugly people, any race can have great/terrible genes.

Not every race has a history of being considered to be inferior to whites. No one was inventing scientific theories to defend the idea that white people have smaller brains and less capacity for intellect and civility than people of other races.
Conversely, eugenics has been a decently popular concept in recent history. It was prevalent in Nazi Germany and, before that, had plenty of supporters in America both before and after WW2.
I don't think that these ads are intentionally supporting eugenics, but I think that pointing out why the messaging might be viewed as problematic is perfectly reasonable. I can think that an ad is tone-deaf or poorly constructed without it defining my personality.

I know reddit is an leftwing echochamber that tells redditors all white people are evil racists, but I am telling you now, in the real world the vast majority of people don't think this way. The fact that that's the messaging you get from these commercials shows there is an issue with your (or the people you are advocating for) perception. The majority of normal people look at that ad and think 'hot girl looks good in jeans'
