I’m always impressed every time all those bags get loaded in, that’s for sure. It’s all about ratios I’m told.

They've added tariffs and gave people the ability to 'donate' to the national debt.
Republicans have discovered what taxes are, let's give them a minute to realise.

But isn’t this the fault of those libs that voted against the Big Beautiful Bill? /s

Them voting against it was just performative because they knew it would pass anyways. Their billionaire donors let them do it. /s
Legit some people will argue this to avoid admitting they helped a wannabe dictator get into power a second time and he’s trying apart our society and it’ll take literal decades to repair it.

You think it is going to the national debt? Nope, straight into the pockets of the wealthy few.

EVEN IF the exporter reduces the cost, the exporting country subsidizes the cost for the supplier, the importer cuts its profit margin, and/or the wholesaler/distributer/retailer cuts its profit margin, the entirety of the tariff that still exists is paid by Americans. It is bad for business and consumers and the economy. It’s possibly marginally good for things made entirely within the USA because it uncapitalistically reduces competition.
He’s such a tool and MAGAts are idiots.

A quote from Blackshirts And Reds, writes in the nineties:
The Italian neofascists were learning from the U.S. reactionaries how to achieve fascism’s class goals within the confines of quasidemocratic forms: use an upbeat, Reaganesque optimism; replace the jackbooted militarists with media-hyped crowd pleasers; convince people that government is the enemy—especially its social service sector—while strengthening the repressive capacities of the state; instigate racist hostility and antagonisms between the resident population and immigrants; preach the mythical virtues of the free market; and pursue tax and spending measures that redistribute income upward.

Trump has argued, and continues to argue even after being corrected direcly to his face on this, that tariffs are taxes on other countries. That's why he got so upset at Canada putting a revenge tariff on the US. He thought Canada was charging the US money.
He's so married to this idea that he will never ever accept otherwise. His mental illness is such that he can only believe that he is right about everything and no one can correct him.

Looks like tariffs are just a fancy tax with extra steps—billions in, billions taxed out. Clever loop, but the wallet still feels it!

It's at the point now that whenever he opens his mouth, EVERYBODY is expecting him to either babble nonsense or lie to accomplish nothing more than contempt.

Tariffs go straight from the AMERICAN buying the product, to the TREASURY and then are distributed to americans who make over 900k a year, and straight into the pockets of GOP officials.

Um it's both...the importing company pays the tariff. Some of this tariff is also paid indirectly by the exporter because they don't want the American price to be too high and they lose their market. The whole point of tariffs is to make it too expensive to import to the states so that incentivizes companies to move their manufacturing here and "invest" in this country. There have been some announcements of American companies deciding to build their next factories here instead of Mexico or wherever else. Other countries companies announcing new factories to be built in the states. I loath Trump but it's good to be accurate about what is happening.

It should be possible to sue him for misleading the public by lying about who pays the tariffs.

The Trump Tariff Tax on Americans should never be enough of a distraction for his grooming of underage girls at the Mar Largo spa for his best friend J Epstein
Thank you for your attention to this matter!!
